    Thoughts on the In-game Economics

Long range communication being taken out from the game leaves me questioning the future of being able to cooperate with survivors.
  2. Seems to me there are a lot of bandits in this thread giving a positive response to this. They're probably already set up with sniper rifles along ridges to shoot spawned players.
  3. Yep, arma 2 crashed on me and when I connected again, it did it again. DEAR SERVER HOSTS: THIS IS NOT HELPFUL.
  4. Yea, I logged out in a grocery store because my game was getting choppy. I closed out some programs, than relaunched arma 2. when I got in, the same thing happened to me.

How the Dog Mechanic work and more

I want to both hold a dog funeral and sabotage a dog funeral. Perhaps Sabotage my own dog funeral.
  6. Serious question, what bout this link people are posting which states the official response? All I see is a request, and some comments regarding the request.

    Broken bone in Chernarus

Oh man I did this for a while. So bad. I managed to cover the upper portion of the map on my stomach. I even raided the northern airfield. The trick to getting up some stairs is to roll...although the others you'll have to stand up and fall onto.

    Do Zombies follow forever?

I don't think running up a hill stops them. Once you get to a point where they can reach, they run around the obstruction. I've been a town away and had crawlers from the previous town show up at my hiding spot
  9. Quiet? I don't believe so. I could hear it from several blocks away, and my encounter with the guy holding it was less than friendly. In fact, he shot first. Thankfully he sucked and I murdered him.
  10. I'm still for No on the no Weapon thing, but some things to consider... If Zombies were more evade-able after they've spotted you (like you would be able to barely outrun or hide from them), maybe make it so that your starting gear is randomized. Sometimes a few cnas of beans, sometimes some water. maybe just a gun...
  11. People just argued for an artificial system which keeps you on the map and not going beyond it. consistency would be nice.
  12. Hey I know. Every time someone finds a trick to the game that doesn't involve staying on the coast and dying to your sniper rifle, let's complain about it!
  13. Invisible walls are common in the zombie apocolypse. Although I couldn't drive my bus over a bridge....
  14. The best place to put your tent is at one of the closest deerstands to the shore. that way, you can get to it and no one will find it. right? Right?
  15. I like a lot of these ideas. I don't think group specific cities would work...maybe an independent group who doesn't care for your bull.

    Infected Water

But they are - you take one zip and it's empty - ONE USE. They are not consumables ( the word I'm sure you are thinking of ). Lets return to a timeframe aspect - To cook water you need either to be lucky enough to spawn near / make it to one of the towns that has fire barrels (I've only seen them in Cherno/Elektro so far). Or be lucky enough to find both matches and a hatchet on your first "bottle". (Or stick to canned fluids - which could be as old as years old depending on the lore) Now you're just arguing semantics. Needless to say, I can take a water bottle and refill it and get more than ONE USE out of it.
  17. What, to go out into uncharted land and place a tent? sounds legit.

A new 'status' to encourage cooperation

In my opinion, the people this would affect already have chosen a gameplay style which exhibits those psychological effects.

    loot despawn on login

So in short, don't log in near loot.
  20. Random groups of survivors teaming up actually make the best targets. Through their chatter I have ALWAYS been able to figure out where they are and have often considered turning to a life of banditry to take their hard earned beans. There is no consequences to being a bandit. By not shooting on site you are putting yourself at risk to being shot for the lulz. Simple as that. You can throw whatever bullshit you want regarding bandits fighting bandits, but they simply don't do that often. In fact, the most bandits I've found in one place UNREALISTICALLY used up all of their ammunition trying to shoot me at long distances. Because that's totally worth the one can of beans I had on me.

    Infected Water

Water Bottles are not one use. You can fill them in lakes and at water pumps. You just have to know where these are at.

    Infected Water

But in fallout you had readily available means to deal with radiation poisoning.

    Infected Water

Can we agree to stop focusing on game mechanics that punish you for living until we have the rest of the game ironed out? thanks.
