Hey man, I'm just asking the hard questions that you, as a so called professional, need to be prepared to answer when people wonder why someone is making a mountain out of a single skip. Be less angry, and maybe we can have a reasonable discussion about this. I'm interested in what you find. Or you can continue to be angry at me for questioning whats going on. On both sides, mind you. I'm still curious to know about the whole thing wtih the guy spawning and them knowing their names. In the last video, where you chase down the guy in a bus, there is a 5 second skip in the video at 1:25. That, and the random cut of sound, makes some people believe something is suspicious is going on. That's an explanation of africanbee's point of view.

Would that still mean you're up to nefarious behavior? Would it make the entire video series edited if they had to splice that one section onto it?

That video didn't show anything except how you killed them, your truck was already behind the bus, why don't you show us, you guys riding to the location and finding the bus, instead of ALREADY being at the bus. Also a bunch of teleporting hackers killing people on servers because their "Mole" feeds them expert terrain data better then a GPS navigation system=Priceless Lol Its a partial clip, I didn't record everything nor was I a part of all the action. I'm even pissed off that I forgot to FRAPS the entire adventure. If we could teleport around the map, spawn vichles at a whim, why didn't we just DO that then? Why did we bother to capture all that stuff and fix up the truck after the buss encounter? Why did we bother to break down your convoys and steal your rides? So by your own admission pressing F9 opens the command menu for you? Perhaps you care to explain how after it goes away in "Dayz - Banned for killing hackers [full clip]" it reappears at 1:25 in the video time-code. The video freezes, there is an audio pop, then video resumes. Immediately after the video recovers, the command menu re-appears along with the telltale audio pop of sloppy sound editing, the video footage also jumps forward at this second audio anomaly. There was footage removed when the terrain jumps at those audio pops. Well I've downloaded all of the youtube videos, which were clearly altered by hand pre-upload. Anything to say before I run them through the villains gallery of editing software? I'll be paying special attention to differences in decibel levels between voice and ambient tracks, as well as game audio. Surprisingly youtube offers a fairly crisp .mp4 when you upload videos at such high quality. Now I can't go as far as separating the tracks or anything fancy, but I don't really need to with some methods. Much like Photoshop, you can see the pixels, so to speak. I believe, good sir, that it's awfully convenient of you to attempt to claim a position of authority on this so far into the fact. So what's the easier answer: That a bachelors in post production editing wouldn't of downloaded(?) a video from youtube first to check it, and instead waited until after he was embroiled in an argument about it, or.... Just another internet toughguy. I mean if you do have a bachelors in post production, kudos to you n all. I'm just saying some foresight would of been more...professional.

This has nothing to do with current DayZ, as this is just how it's being tested... However, on long term, I think our behavior as of late has proven that the players cannot be trusted in general to host their own servers. Either they act in ways which can easily be misconstrued, or they are doing exactly what we think they are doing behind closed doors... Anyways, the point is, if DayZ ever goes beyond the "mod attached to Arma 2" state it would be a good idea to make the game based around a few persistent 24/7 servers, and just make a really large map, with 3 major metroplexes, some urban sprawl between them, and the surrounding land being a mix of Mountains and ranch or farm land. It would probably take a large server cluster to make it work this way, but it would be cool to have a more realistically sized city to crawl through...like maybe the size of the current DayZ map.

Instead, there is the L85A2 AWS with infrared and NVG scope. I have made this thread: http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=11725 and asked if anyone, dev or not, could indicate what should be ingame and what should not. I also indicated your name (sorry for not asking your permission) if they don't want to give me such info. I just decided to open this thread because of this weapon and a radio. Ok, I was a big opponent to the bizarre detection ranges we had up to 1.7.1.4, but when .5 came out everything seemed back to normal. So I have no idea what's going on with you. I do still agro more often, but sometimes it's just because I was being a jackass. -

I've been having problems where the game has minimized mid game for no reason, and won't maximize. This happens at random intervals, and often when I'm shooting at zombies. While measures do need to take place to keep people from logging out to avoid being hit, A log out timer on the server which keeps you there affects people who crash as well. -

Because from both newbies to veterans, everyone has been complaining about how the Zeds have super vision AND super hearing in the most recent hotfix, when it was perfectly fine in the "no food/water" hotfix. Maybe you're just some pro ass elitist player that is just way too fucking good at this game and make the rest of us look at scrubs. Or maybe, just maybe, everyone ranging from newbs to veterans who are all pointing out that there maybe something wrong with the Zombie visual/audio detection actually might be right. Or, maybe everyone that is complaining are all fucking retards that don't even know what shift and prone do. Who knows. its FINE as it is! its an alpha and for now LIVE WITH IT! rocket is always tweaking and testing out new things! We have been playing with 4 guys for 3 hours going THROUGH TOWNS! and it was easy enough! no one died or lost more then a 1000 blood! so to the winy little Biatches join up in parties and its easy 1) Being an alpha I have the right to point out what I feel is wrong. The Zed behavior is buggy already as it is, it shouldn't come down to the point where they aggro so much the game is basically unplayable. I should be able to go through towns and go through the content of the game to TEST other things such as sneak mechanics, loot tables in cities/heavy population areas, etc. Yet it's hard as shit to do that right now because I'm busy having to expend 3+ mags to gun down the entire town down, or spending an hour trying to lose them through buildings or a forest. 2) You're right. Rocket is always testing new stuff. And he wants feedback. I'm giving it to him. You saying that everything is fine and I'm just bad at the game is not feedback, it's you being an elitist prick. 3) You're fucking straight up lying if no one lost more than a thousand blood and you were never seen. Zeds hit for 500 easily on the lower end of the scale, and can hit for well over a couple of thousand. With the high aggro nature of the Zeds right now along with their glitchy nature in that they can glitch through walls, floors, occasionally sprint inside indoors, I seriously doubt none of you loss less than a thousand blood. The only reason why I'm being as aggressive as I am with my posting is because you're FUCKING LYING. Period. There is no one here that has played the game since 1.6.0 or from before that will ever tell you that the current Zeds aren't a little over the top in terms of their sensitivity to sound and what they see. 1.7.1.2 was actually pretty good, it was a happy medium; just needed to fix the food loot tables, maybe tweak the DISTANCE on the visual detection and we would have been at a pretty stable build. Right now, everyone ranging from newbies to veterans have all pointed out that it's blatantly obvious that the Zeds are much more sensitive to everything in than they were in 1.7.1.2, and they already were pretty sensitive in that version to visual detection already. Your elitist bullshit posting needs to come to a stop. When it smells like shit, looks like shit, it pretty much has to be shit. And right now, your post is full of shit. I pretty much agree here. I've aggroed about 5 zombies just by crawling prone through grass in the dead of night. -

How the hell are you meant to lose a zombie starting out = \ ??

I've found that the only way to lose them is by using the steep hill. And hiding once you get over the top didn't help at all, in fact they found my "prone behind a tree" arse and I was halfway down the hill. No, the best way is to run up the hill(zigg zagging, etc) and then book it on the other side. Put as MUCH distance between you and them as you can. They have too good of detection otherwise. -
Try using the scroll wheel, you should have an option to open the pack and to take the pack. sometimes it's a bit glitchy, and you'll have to back up a little to get this option to show up.

Actually whatever changed in .3 and .4 needs to be reverted. I actually had a chance at evading zombies before this, now I can't. -
I can connect to US1 just fine. When I try any other server(for example us90), it sticks on waiting for host. I am using the Six launcher to find servers and connect. Edit: not using the Six launcher gets me in. Suggestions?

Is there a way to tell if your server is not updated all the way? Also, still having flies on invisible bodies, also picked up an unusable crowbar that I cannot drop. -
