You mistake me for someone who doesn't have most of his deaths by random broken legs. And for someone who gives a sh** about spelling over the internet.

First, I'm a bit curious how these people managed to reconnect so quickly as that their prey hasn't moved on. They first have to connect to one server, than the other after they've moved to the new position.... Also, someone suggested a good way to fix this: If you disconnect from server A and connect to server B, you cannot get on server A for an hour.

Basically, walking up stairs can cause some serious aggro. And being on the second floor. this next patch should make it so that sound aggro decreases through objects.

Eve online is a horrible comparison, because you have insurance.

Zombies are boring when they're piloted by a non-zombie brain.

ITT: This game won't be perfect unless you spawn with broken limbs, 1 blood, and at the feet of a zombie.

I hate to repeat myself, but AGAIN standard MMO solutions do not work with this game.

Sounds exactly like what you are doing. The point to my post was to show yet another /common/ situation(google it, it's a major problem with Arma II) where a part of the community would be hurt by such an action. "Don't do risky things" - the entire game is risky. The game becomes unplayable when going into town means death because your game decides to glitch out. There are even some un-answered threads here regarding the issue in troubleshooting. There was a better suggestion on the boards which at least fixes server hopping exploitation: if you join another server, you cannot hop back in to the original server for an hour. There goes half of the people who exploit disconnect issues. As far as people disconnecting to avoid death(IE they just got shot, and they are dying and can avoid it by alt-f4ing) there needs to be some sort of "update character status" done whenever the code breaks out of an operational state. In closing: There are WAY better ways to fix this problem than by screwing with people who have legitimate problems. Traditional ways of fixing it, such as a disconnect timer, do not work in a game where Death = Start Over. Having something which punishes people for Engine/driver/operation system/hardware/internet failings is not productive in any sort of term. If you're just demanding an immediate fix to something which requires a more sophisticated solution, than get over it. Your stats are not going to save beyond this Alpha, so take it easy.

Because of an issue with the current beta, my game keeps minimizing permanently or sometimes outright crashing the graphics driver. This happens and I can't control it. No, I'm not an exploiter.

If anything toolkits should be more common at the moment: If only because Chernus seems to be industrial heavy. There are so many motor pools, warehouses, etc that a set of basic tools should be easy to come across.

Plus the game outright tells you that you have an outdated version...

Basically this is a limitation of the Arma 2 engine, or rather a direct result of not having made the map themselves. There are only a handful of building designs which you can enter, and you just have to take some time to recognize them. I just NOW started to recognize the large brick house with the hallway which runs down the middle of it. Try checking for windows you can see in.

I would have worded it differently myself but he just said what a lot of us are thinking. Also, I can dig zombies opening doors but most of the time they walk right through them. I'm not even going to rehash the hitting through walls bug that we all experience. That said: Usually it's because of the lack of higher thinking abilities. You know, from having a brain filled with dead brain cells. The only zombies that tend to be able to open doors are the Night of the Living Dead B-movie zombies which taunt the main characters and talk about how they must eat the brains of the living to stave off the pain of being dead. Now infected STILL might be able to do it...unless their mind is reduced to an animalistic hunter mentality. Their opposable thumbs are only good for jamming into their prey's eye sockets to dig out the good stuff. (Interesting note: opposable appears to be spelled correctly. Spellchecker doesn't like it.)

Maybe if you went screaming full speed at the groundhog since you spotted him despite his stillness, it'd be a bit closer to Day Z. that, and your first hit broke his leg.

It also seems that all this is an attempt to create smoke where there is no fire, and any arugment they have has been reduced to "what about this 3 second clip? explain that!". Again; these accusations are baseless and the footage is more incriminating for the OP than for our group. I mean really, what it all comes down to is the following steps: 1) You announce your ban due to hacking, upload files for the internet. 2) They announce you are cheaters and have people post. They don't have evidence. There are some things which come into question which I doubt you'll answer me on. However as an experience admin I know that most communities on the up and up require evidence before a ban is put into place. If this isn't posted, than until someone comes out with a video of you guys teleporting willy nilly all over the place like is claimed....
