wohoo got it working. only problem i have now is getting it to work porperly in the six/dayzcommander. it says "wrong password" and its gray saying i may not have anticheat blabla :P lol it was so easy when my computer had the proper updates xD thanks again guy! happy servering? :D

thanks alot for all ur replies! much appriciated! hehe the game was only 25euros for both so its not that big of a loss even tho i did not need it xP the advice about back up! smart! haha i did not think of that! downloaded arma and arrowhead 2 times to day so many thanks for that one lol :D i found the tunngle forum in the end and thats the one i am trying to get to work. the only thing i dont get with that is how im suposed to get an Arma 2 combined operation folder in my steam folder where Arma is. (even tried to make one myself but that dident work) hehe. and steam wont let me start the game as combined operation for some reason.. bah. maybe my 4am early start on the day dident help.. who knows! so im gonna try again tomorrow :D im not giving up! if someone know why or what is stopping me for starting the game as combined operation/how i get a combinde operation folder please hit me up! (just have to add that i tried to restart steam and start it as admin but nothing will let me start it as combined) and im guessing thats the reason i dont have a CO folder? thanks again to Allie _AlphA_ and a small thanks to Pcqrneoc just for being who he is? i guess.. xP

hello. to start off sorry for my not so good english. im would like to set up my own dayz server just for me and my friends. (im not a *supernerd*sadpandaface* so it going to be hard) the questions is 1. do i need to buy a new arma2/Operation arrowhead to make this server or can i simply install my arma games on my other pc and use it just for the files? 2. there is uncountable guids for making a server. would someone be so kind and direct me to a very simple one? or in some sort one that is safe for virus x) (u never know what u get from the interweb) 3. i dont have the best pc for the server. will it lag? go slow? fail cause its crap? think its 3.4ghz and nvidia 260 gtx. 8gb ram im gonna look around somemore on the web but hoping for someone to hit me up on this post. as i said at the start im not the best pc user.. :P so please be kind to me :) sorry if i break any rules on the forum/someone allready did this but i have really search IMO good and cant find my #1 question. the 2 others is just cause im hoping for a helpful soul to hit me up :)

im just wondering.. why dont we have pw protection if we want? we have to pay to have a server and if we only want to play with our friends, shouldent that be up to us? im just sayin, why should it not be allowed? so im really hoping this will fall threw but this post is from like 3 months ago so im guessing not :(
