I remember you posting somewhere that you wondered where all the haters went in a tone that was almost mocking. To clear anything up, I really do appreciate what you guys do, what I'm pissed about is that we come to voice our perfectly valid opinions and get ganged up on by everyone who doesn't agree with us. They were arrogant, immature, and wouldn't even back up their arguments, only essentially say we were wrong and walk off. And you guys did nothing to support us, even if you don't agree its your job as a forum mod (I've modded forums in the past, I know what being a mod constitutes) to step in and make sure we don't get our voices drowned out by all the morons who don't want to hear anything other than their own voices. I mean shit, we're part of the community just as much as they are but since our opinions were in the minority it was 3 of us giving logical reasons behind our views and just got hit with some bullshit answer or another with no support, it was 3 of us back to back just trying to say what was on our mind and we couldn't even fucking do that. Was that not what this post was for? Are debates not supposed to be 2 sided?

I'm not saying that we have more say than anyone, I'm saying that you don't. Some of the arrogant pricks up here have been acting like their opinions are the only ones that matter.

I actually like what the staff is doing, it was just that even some of them joined in on bashing our completely valid opinions on this issue along with the arrogant, immature community members who think they run the game.

Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold the fuck up there. Last I recall this was Rocket's baby, they stepped up and took over when he went to work on the SA. This is a community mod, and it takes feedback from - you guessed it, the community - and takes it into consideration. We're the community, so...

And I have to agree with NewClearWinter, we voice our opinions and even some of the staff are lashing out at us? (I used mod instead of dev by accident, you stil know what I mean) and we are called immature, are told we're whining, etc. Maybe accept that there are differing opinions than yours. What was it one of you said? "Who are you to judge what fits in DayZ" or something along those lines? I might ask you the same, the arrogance in here is horrible. And Fraggle, you corrected me. Ok. My bad. But its unbecoming of staff to take sides in an argument then respond with stuff like "Hang on a sec... So where's all the people that hated it now? Did they run out of steam already?" and to keep arguing with players in YOUR community voicing our opinions, which I might add are equally valid as anyone else's.

But whoever is developing the mod now did include you guys in the list of things to add. I used the wrong word, sue me, but the fact is even as forum mods you guys had a tribute put in (you were very vocal about yours) and I go back to my main point, where are Dean's Beans or any tribute to Rocket for that matter?

I'd hardly say we're being immature, we're voicing our opinions same as you. DayZ is one of the few games that you can actually play tactically and with some skill, so I take it seriously. Call me more hardcore than you or what have you, fact is I am as much a part of the DayZ community as you, and I prefer to play with a tactical military approach. These names will break the immersion for me and for a lot of other communities, just because its mostly positive here doesn't mean that it is the sentiment everywhere.

I love DayZ, so I'll be damned if I walk away from it because the mods put a tribute in for themselves with stupid, almost corny, immersion breaking names. Like I've said, the only way I and a lot of us on Reddit (go check it out, top post on /r/DayZ and may I say the shit has hit the fan over there) would even consider something like this is if the names are changed and you add something for Rocket. I'd rather not be moving across NWAF at night, getting into an operation, then look down and find a can labeled Derpy Hooves at my feet. (I mean no offense to the guy or anything, but it doesn't fit DayZ.)

For Christ's sake, if you're going to impliment this please make the names more serious. MZLY MZLY soda or whatever and Derpy Hooves' Tinned Muffins are idiotic at best and while you're trying to pay tribute to the team, is a brony themed name and something seemingly random like that the way to give the game a serious tone? And damn, if you're doing tributes where the fuck are Dean's Beans? I mean, he only created the mod and got it to where it is now, and he gets nothing? Plus the model was done when Rocket was looking for artists and was really popular, and we have the creator posting on Reddit that he is ready to give it to you guys...

Ok, would you rather have a game that isn't pure sandbox or one that eliminates the social factor completely, a lot of players' favorite aspect of DayZ, because nobody bothers doing anything outside putting a bullet in someone's head the second they see them? Because the game is headed toward the latter.

You got me, it's a lot ballsier to shoot someone who doesn't even know you're there than to risk your life in the hopes of stopping a player from going CoD kiddie and perpetuating the deathmatch. No, people don't like KoS because how are you supposed to have player interactions, a big part of the game, if every player you meet shoots you in the face before you can even say friendly? It's not KoS itself that is inherintly bad, its the fact that everybody in the fucking game is KoS, just like with banditry. A few doing it adds a bit of depth, everyone doing it gets old fast.

What in those few sentences could possibly point at him using an enfield?
