As much as I'm all for realism, I believe that none should be forced to play 1st person.The system's good as it is, some servers have it on, some have it off.Why not?I know it makes things much too easier, but well, you can't kick a broken windshield out of a car in-game. In fact, I actually think that the default ArmA II FOV is somewhat limited.And the "shaky" screen when walking or running seems one bit too jerky to be realistic.

Exactly.Just be a little careful for encounetring other players.There are many other newbies that get shit runnin out of their pants with the sight of a player alone.Find one of these, you'll be dead in no-time. Also, make sure you're all geared up before heading north, as inspecting crash sites and the airfield are things almost impossible without a good gun. Oh, btw, now that you're still a newbie, opt for servers with a player count no greater than 10.

I never shoot, unless fired upon or I see a bandit mask.And from that point on, I just let the game flow.If I get killed, I don't mind.If I don't get killed, and the dude's friendly or just runs away, I see the former as a chance to do something good for the other players and restore some of their faith in the DayZ community.I didn't get that hero skin for nothing.I once even helped a bandit, although it was more of an attempt to trap him that ended up with both of us dead. Anyway, my opinion is that I don't need to turn to banditry/shooting on sight to enjoy a game.Some people may indeed have undergone experiences far worse than mine, but that's how I like to play.I once did shoot a poor guy on spawn because he creeped me out, and it actually felt bad.All I do is play on servers with no more than 20 people, and everything works out.

We all are.Honestly, you have better chances of finding one your own than having someone bring it to you.Unless an airborne bandit division wants to set up a nice trap on you, I don't see that chopper coming.

I can't believe myself.I had just died, and spawned near Cherno.I got to the military tents, cause my body and some hacker-spawned vehicles were there, and I thought I could use one of them.Anyway, at some point, some zombies start chasing me, and I get into a car to survive.Suddenly, a f*ckin bandit pops up.He fires a couple of shots into the windshield, but he stopped after I told him that I was friendly and had nothing.I told him he could keep the car, and I could keep my life.He moved his head in a positive manner, and headed for the tents.Then my genius friends tell me to shoot the guy.And I listened to them.I only had 1 shotgun shell (slug).I went behind him, and while he was in a tent, I bandaged him to seem friendly.Then I took the shot.He was either a hacker, or it wasn't enough to kill him.He left the tent, and while I was shitting all over my pants trying to combine pellets and slugs (didn't make it btw), he comes back and does me with a shotgun/lee enfield. This story is meant to tell you guys that you must never underestimate such a chance.When a bandit lets you live, you have been given a great gift.No matter what your friends tell you, no matter how confident you are of yourself, don't shoot him. If you ever get a chance like that, don't blow it.Either run, or play good guy.Just don't blow it. If you do this over and over again, you will end up a bandit, yes.But a one-time kill is OK.I sometimes turn my bandit mode on, when I have to get somewhere fast.I just shoot on sight.Luckily, I only had to use this once, and I didn't get the kill, zombies finished off the poor newb.

This topic of yous put me into a lot of thinking.On the one hand, a newbie can't just get banged up by zombies/bullets, have a bad bleeding, only to find someone who doesn't carry the blood he needs.But on the other hand, I'm all in for more realism.So, taking into account the rarity of blood bags, the rarity of their locations and how hard it is to get there, I say yes.But I also support the creation of a small, relatively rare "bloodbox" that will essentially be a box containing 1 blood bag for each blood type.Spawns where all other medical boxes do, but is harder to find.

A friend had invited us over to his house.He was in Cherno, @ the military tents across the street from the hospital.Just as he was about to come down from a long factory chimney that he had climbed on to avoid death (and kill the one who started the fight, which he did lolololololo) he suddenly went straight up into the air, and started dancing Gangnam Style, while a screen message saying "OPPA GANGNAM STYLE" a bunch of times popped up.We alt+f4ed and laughed our asses off.

Either NYC, or Hollywood, or Columbus, Ohio :D.
