thats not a bug. it was a feature that was implemented in previous update It's poorly implemented. It was added to prevent people from completely refreshing their mags by relogging, but all it does is ensure that if you fire even a single shot, you've effectively thrown that magazine away. Magazine capacity tracking is behavior that needs to either be fixed by rocket or brought up with BIS so they can fix it.

I prefer the term over zealous. But I would think the Dev team as well as server admins have some common sense enough to ban people who obviously exploit in this manner. It's a bit mean to call the dev team and admins idiots on your assumption they'll ban everyone in a clan. It's a bit "over zealous" to assume he was referring to the dev team, and not the peanut gallery in this thread. (Including you) -

ACE introduced a flare gun. It's pretty worthless for anything other than flaring though. Just minor concussive damage as it bounces off a player's head.

I'm not sure I understand the problem with barbed wire. I've been able to hop over it fine. I just need to hop twice to clear it. Toolboxes are also fairly common in any industrial area that spawns car parts. -
Holding right click is actually holding your breathe and focusing your vision. It's meant for marksmanship, and is meant to simulate hyper focusing on a specific point to make out better detail. Unfortunately this is a video game played on a ~1080p computer monitor, not real life in glorious ∞p resolution, so it is represented through a FOV change.

I also think this might not be fixable without BIS intervention, but I do have a tip. When you get close to the threshold of a building, turn a little bit and hit Q or E to roll into it. You'll still stand up, but you'll do so in a stationary position, which will prevent you from taking more steps forward and thus alerting zombies. After standing, just rotate in place and go prone again into the building. You should be above the lip then. -

Recently I had read a post about two people who got ambushed. One went down, and the other hid his body to deny the prize before successfully escaping. I had left this thread open, and I must have confused the two. My mistake. :blush:

The batch files are also used by steam to launch combined operations. Try this: In steam' date=' clear your launch options entirely for both arma 2 and operation arrowhead, these will get added on to the batch files and will fuck things up due to peculiarities with arma and the beta patches. [*']Go to your operation arrowhead folder and back up your _runA2CO.cmd (note: not _beta.cmd) file, then open it in notepad. Near the bottom is a line that says :runs. Modify the line below it to the following: "%_STEAMPATH%\steam.exe" -applaunch 33930 "-nosplash" "-skipintro" "-window" "-beta=%_ARMA2PATH%;EXPANSION;ca;Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion;@DayZ" Launch combined operations in steam, and report back. This is the method I use and it works fine. Note: Do not add -mod= after the -beta=, and do not add it to your launch options. The client will have issues if you do. You may remove -window if you prefer full screen. -

Sounds to me like someone got mad because they were denied a prize. If I need a trench shovel to bury a body (which I'm fine with, I have one) then let me also destroy dead bodies and their loot with frag grenades.

I don't know about not being able to save period, but definitely bump people who disconnect in towns to the nearby forest if possible. -

And how do you propose they detect such an action? Even if they can detect what your gamma is set to (they can't), what if my monitor is extremely dark? They're not all made the same.

I'm fine with this if I get a few uses out of each battery. Not much point if you need an entire coyote/alice pack worth of med supplies and batteries to get your group of friends back on their feet.

This is the best way of implementing "repercussions" for killing and negative humanity I've read. As a bandit, I'm not all too concerned with it. I'll just have to make sure there are no witnesses if I plan on killing people and then blending into groups. My only concern is with how the spotting would work. What happens if you're in a barn while your friend watches outside, and then I shoot him from 200m? There needs to be something that prevents you from just peaking around the corner and witnessing the murder after the fact. Perhaps you need to target and witness both the body and the murderer? -
Unless this was done client side, it would require too much data tracking to be viable. If it were done client side, that data would need to be stored in a file (I don't know if this is something modders can do) since lives can last beyond a single play session. If it's possible, it would be pretty cool, but personally it isn't the highest thing on my personal list of desired changes.
