I think the more you kill the more bloodstained your character should become instead of the bandit skin :) I like no debug monitor now , you can kind of tell your blood from the grey scale and colour of your blood icon. -

there is a rumour of a custom zombie in namalsk that only comes out at night and can be found in the forests , it has red glowing eyes.

If you have not played the Namalsk dayz map here is some tips on survival for the new player. Namalsk is very different from other dayz maps.
