i love seeing the pics of you guys playing the build and having good times, makes me wish i could play but im nowhere near home. work sucks, but its gettign me a new PC hopefully.

The SVT40 will come sooner or latter i hope, the weapon has so much to offer but the devs may not see it. who wouldnt love to roleplay as a Russian sniper with a SVT40 and a Tokarev strapped to his hip? we can only hope for these things though...

So if you are familiar with the Red Orchestra 2 you will know that as a rifleman you Mosin Nagant or K98k automatically bolts itself. But if you go into settings you can change it to where you control the bolt on your gun, making it to where you can shoot, watch and see if your target is hit or not, and make a follow up shot. This may not be possible with the current DayZ game engine, but it would make a very nice thing for bolt action rifle when you are sniping. this was a good clip i found, mind the music its not super great. But watch how after each shot there is a small delay where he watches to see if he hit his target.

feeling optimistic since my other suggestion got into the game, so im gonna bump this (swear im not necroing) see if we can get anywhere as more bolt action rifles will probably be implemented into the game.

tis true to the core when you are on stable branch. but playing on the expiremental branch almost everyone is friendly, about 8/10 times they will help you, give you a new item in game, etc.

Simply put, you should be able to light a fire inside a fireplace in a homestead. With barricading starting to begin, this could be a way to make a place to get warm and store gear.. So i think my idea got in the latest Exp patch. first time i have had internet in 2 months.

nope, my SKS disapeared on the ground while gutting a boar.

i have roughly 100 rounds of SKS ammo but no SKS

same here, i think it would make the game much more interesting. Less PvP and less mowing down players and zombies. and non automatic weapons dont appeal to some people that like FPS's.

do you think you could use the new hand drill in a house to start the fire? im gonna say maybe/no because its a tad bit of a hazard.
