That's what happens when any stupid children can host a server. You get morons that buy a server to get an advantage and abuse their powers to help themselves.

Although the bugs can make for some hilarious situations I think it can only get better with the standalone being released in December. All the additions to the game along with all the fixes to combat hackers will make it a lot more fun and allow a lot more player-created scenarios to take place.

Sometimes you need to kill others to ensure your own safety. You should not penalize other players for ensuring that they will continue to live. It's not Call of Duty but it's not Super Happy Funtime Adventures either. It is meant to be an authentic 'zombie apocalypse' situation, in an apocalypse - people will fight each other.

If it kept a tally of your kills it would just encourage players to kill for the score rather than for the actual gameplay. Bad idea. You should want to survive and kill for the good of your character in the game, not for some numbers on a scoreboard that players will just use to try and show off their e-peen.

There is no way, shape or form that you will get DayZ working on that laptop, even with the best upgrades for your platform. The hardware is just too outdated.

I liked the setting of the hospital in The Walking Dead. They had clearly started trying to treat the infected which had started to go wrong and they eventually trapped them in part of the hospital. Dead bodies everywhere, others trying to leave warnings for other survivors 'DONT OPEN DEAD INSIDE'. It looked very eerie - it had the whole 'Oh fuck. What happened here. Oh fuck.'. Better than the whole 'Few boxes on the floor', make the players search the hospital for supplies.

You shouldn't gimp players that have a different play-style from yourself, it's just not fair. Why would you want to stop players PKing? That's just stupid. PvP is a very large part of the game, it's not a PvE game - far from it.

Jealous? Why would anyone be jealous of you using an inefficient, inferior and inaccurate controller? There are a few games that controllers are better (Racing, Football) other than that a controller cannot keep up with a mouse/keyboard, that's a fact. There have been numerous attempts at having a PC vs PS3 vs XBOX style multiplayer with ALL platforms involved but the PC players just absolutely destroy the console players, the Mouse/Keyboard is significantly better that a controller for any competitive game, that is a fact (not including the racing/sports games I mentioned). If you like playing single-player, fair enough, but you will not be able to compete against any proper players with a mouse/keyboard, a controller is just so much slower in acquiring targets accurately, there is no competition.

It seems just like ToH to me. DayZ are using their own modifed ToH engine, this one looks very nice, hopefully DayZ can push the boundaries even further.

It's going to use the Take On Helicopter engine - Arma 2.5, if you will.

This is a brilliant idea. The anti materiel rifles in real life are very large, unwieldy weapons that you have no real chance of running around and hip firing without proper experience with it - even firing from a kneeling position is very impressive. I'd at least like the requirement to go prone (with best accuracy) or kneeling (with worse accuracy) and set up the bi-pod when prone to stabilize it - it's a very, very powerful rifle, that would balance it out a fair bit I'd say.

You need more RAM if it's memory related. RAM is cheap, I'd go for at least 8GB nowadays, 4GB just doesn't cut it - especially with games.

I like the sound of things, especially the diseases - this will force players to think a bit differently, especially with time constraints and the side-affects of an illness. How rare do you plan on making the vaccinations? Antibiotics as the game stands are very hard to find - are the vaccinations for the more common illnesses going to be easier to find?

Sorry bud. Pretty much every main component (Processor, RAM, GPU) would need a major upgrade - it would be much cheaper to buy a new laptop, there is really no way to get this one playing DayZ at a good framerate.
