A little 'bug' you might want to know about (I call it a bug because it was unintentional and will be removed in standalone). If you run into a building the zombies will follow you but immediately start walking inside the building. Let them follow you into the building then run out the back door, they will have to shuffle through the building before continuing to chase you which can get you far away and they will just lose interest.

They will still have the same GUID, administrators can check this. No-PvP servers are retarded anyway. What is the point?

It sounds like you were bleeding and died of blood loss. The blood-drop indicator has a flashing '+' symbol which indicates you are bleeding. - I'll have to explain the 2 types of server. There are Public Hive servers and there are Private Hive servers. Public Hive servers are the 'official' group of servers that all have to follow a certain set of rules, these servers are all linked together. For example, if you log out with an AK47 on one Public Hive server and log into another Public Hive server you will be in the same location with your AK47. Private Hive servers are an unofficial group of servers ran by private administrators. These are normally individual servers and are not linked with the main hive. For example, if you log out with an AK47 on one Public Hive server and log into a Private Hive server, you would start again fresh, nothing is linked. I recommend that you use DayZ Commander: http://www.dayzcommander.com/ DayZ Commander is a briliant launcher/updater that allows you to tell which servers are private, which are public as well as the settings they are currently using. The Standalone release isn't delayed, there never was a release date. Rocket and the team said December because they had to set themselves a goal and it was a VERY big goal, especially with two of the Bohemia Interactive staff still in jail (They were meant to be working on Chernarus Plus) It is understandable that Rocket and the BI staff can't go in to too much detail but it's always good that they communicate and update the player-base which is very rare for any game. It is much better that they are spending more time on development and ironing out any problems rather than throwing us a half-completed, bug-ridden game and telling us it's a standalone.

1) You don't need to manually save anything, when you log out your character will automatically be saved on the server. 2) There are no 'safe areas' but there are plenty of places they wouldn't chase you. Buildings, roofs and away from cities you normally won't get bothered by zombies, it's normally not a problem. 3) If you instantly died you were probably shot. People are dicks, you will most definitely learn this.

I'm pretty sure it was in talk with the developers to make vehicles less rare but make the parts and the fuel a lot rarer to balance this out. They were also talking about being able to remove parts/fuel from other cars too.

If you read what I posted, the trees are the problem. There is a bug with the tree rendering when you are in the air, they are too easy to see through and sometimes don't even render at all - this will be fixed in the standalone. That is the only reason it's so easy to see from the sky, the trees don't properly appear. They will have to force a certain global render distance and make sure all the trees are properly rendered too.

It's thumb tacks, it literally says it on the box. Either way, Rocket has already said what the pricing structure will be and estimates a maximum of $15 on launch. The game is obviously still heavily in development and would have to go through proper testing before it is released to public (Something The War Z didn't do, clearly). I'd expect an update from Rocket before it was properly released though.

You literally just copy and pasted that from Toms, you could have at least fixed the emoticon. it could be multiple things.. drivers, bottleneck elsewhere in your system, not set up graphics correctly in-game.

That is unfortunately one of the things that isn't repairable (Nowhere has replacement bulbs) you just have to wait until the server restarts for the lights to be repaired. They will probably fix this in the standalone or at least implement it if it is suggested enough.

The Intel build is better than the AMD build. Remember, you're going to need a graphics card. Also, do not get a single 8GB stick of RAM, get 2 4GB sticks or it won't run at full speed. The RAM is dual-channel so requires 2 channels being used to run at it's full capacity, 1 stick will just be making it slower.

If they are broken they won't turn on (obviously) and the slightest bump to the front or if you run over any zombies can damage them, this is the most common problem.

Yeah. That's not right. I'd install DayZ Commander http://www.dayzcommander.com/ and use it to make sure everything is properly installed and up-to-date, looks like part of it isn't installed correctly which is odd if you've reinstalled multiple times.

They are going to be a big problem in the standalone: They won't be as buggy, animation wise They won't stop chasing you just because you got in a doorway Some will be faster and more aggressive whereas some will be slower and less observant (They are putting in a full zombie lifecycle) They will spread infection which will be another major part of DayZ They will actually have multiple models rather than the same few models They will spawn better too rather than just popping in when someone is in the area

You'd have to bump the GPU up a notch if you wanted decent framerates- I'd go at the very least a 660 (Preferably an AMD 7850 though). The processor would eat Arma II up with no problem though.

You didn't look very far. There is a whole forum section with servers advertising. They ALL want more players, a lot of the betters ones don't advertise all the time so just give the forum a look through and find something that suits your needs - ones that advertise a lot tend to be smaller.

Hmm, what mouse is it you are using? Using any special drivers for it? EDIT: This is normally the problem, make sure mouse smoothing is off.

You spent all that time trying to get revenge? That's just sad.... but exactly something that I would do. Nice video, especially since you managed to get multiple kills :) Best part was the fact you spent so long killing the first guy and nobody decided to come help him.

Chernarus is a seperate country, not part of Russia. At least learn your fake geography!
