Then what is the point in playing on a server with night if everyone just gets given night-vision goggles? Totally defeats the purpose of night time. If it was a noob server he should leave you to fight it out, you're always going to remain shit if you just get everything handed to you rather than learning to do it and get better yourself. -
I like original. Edit 1 is also quite nice but I like the dull, hopelessness feeling in the original one rather than messing with the colour levels to make it look more colourful. Edit 2 is far too blurry.

Whitelisted private server. The public DayZ Hive is rampant with hackers to the point where it is totally unplayable for me.

Well you're clearly playing a different DayZ than me. The reason they end up going through walls is down to the strafing that is programmed into the soldier AI. The soldier is coded to use a zig-zag type run when he is approaching, this is to make them harder to hit - sometimes the pathfinding means that they will clip into a wall, this means they are tecnically in the building (According to coordinates) but as far as the zombie is concerned he is just stilll following you. The only AI the zombie has in relation to a player is that any zombies in the area will be predisposed to congregate around the area you are located, even without any agro - you can easily test this be running though somewhere like Elektro and sitting in a building, the zombies will begin to congregate outside in the general viscinity of your location. If you think the zombies move their head to compensate for your aiming, you have really no experience with the game. You can easily tell where a zombie is going to move its head, it uses the same animation over and over. If you play a recon/sniper role a lot you will easily learn the movements so you can headshot from long distances - the head-bob does not take into account your aim whatsoever.

You run into that a lot. People seem to think that once they have a hero skin you should never shoot them, I shot a kid and his friend at the NEAF just as they were about to leave in a chopper, he went crazy for a good 30mins in side chat because he was a hero and apparently people shouldn't kill heroes. -
This is incorrect. The head sway you are referring to is just their standard idle animation, they aren't conciously dodging anything, it's part of the breathing animation because they are essentially reskinned soldiers. They do NOT teleport - I have no idea where you are getting your information from. The zombies use a type of 'waypoint' pathfinding when they are following us, they don't just magically teleport - they have set coordinates that they try to follow, that's why you can get them stuck on trees when they try to follow you and lose their LoS.

I treat them like any other player. Just because they have a pretty skin doesn't mean they won't try to kill you for all your shinies. -
What is the point? For a start, the 'good' loot i.e. military gear will only spawn in military areas, if that's not the case the idea is stupid (You should NOT find military weapons on the coast areas like Kamenka and Cherno). The standalone changes the way loot spawning works, everything doesn't have a specific fixed spawn, there are many areas where the loot could spawn at a specific location. As far as 'spawning' weapons is concerned, it's the only way to get it into the game world, it's not meant to be realistic, it's the only way it can work, what purpose does 'growing' items have to play? I can only see it negatively impacting the game. The current high-value spawns (NEAF, NWAF, Stary) are all high-traffic areas purely due to that reason, there is good loot but you must risk your life by entering a high priority area which will more than likely have other players already there or at least making there way there. If items were to 'grow' and spawn in lesser used areas there would be no real areas where conflict would arise, there would be no areas of high priority (Like would realistically make sense). In addition to that, the spawn areas are meant to be quite realistic, military loot in military areas, hunting loot in deer stands, civilian loot in civilian areas - changing that would just imbalance everything even more.

Yeah, I'd prefer if they replaced the Lee Enfield with the Mosin Nagant M1891/30 Carbine, one that you wouldnt have too much trouble finding in a soviet country. Very similar to the basic Lee Enfield and there are also scope variations of the rifle.

Why do you shoot unarmed players?

I don't normally shoot unarmed players but if there is the chance they will get a weapon and negatively affect me any time soon I will shoot them. It's too mich of a risk if you leave another player in a town with weapon spawns, you really don't know if they will play nice -

He's talking about the game. The NPCs are infected humans, not reanimated dead - they are affected by a virus, the survivors (us) are immune to the virus which is why we aren't trying to eat people. -

Why bandits are needed in dayz...

Most of the community are not bandits, most of them are survivors. The whole 'problem' behind it is that it significantly easier to become a bandit, becoming a hero takes hard work, determination and far too much trust. Becoming a bandit just involve shooting players, people LIKE to shoot players because they can get items without having to put the effort into fetching it themselves. What do you get for being a hero? Nothing other than gratitude and the ability to stop low calibre rounds. -
There are still a lot of players that want a good game and want a challenge, but unfortunately there are even more people who want Call of Duty with zombies type games where you don't have to put any effort in other than spraying your gun.

I certainly wouldn't want to be friendly with anyone that knocked me out previously. Being unconscious isn't just 'Oh, ouch, my head - I'll wake up and be fine now' like you see in movies. Being knocked out for more than a couple of minutes can cause severe damage, even death, and you certainly won't have all your faculties to the point where you'll be able to just stand up and run off again. -
Don't argue with the moron. He'll take you down to his level and beat you in prior experience.
