The service that players want from 'donating' is an unfair advantage over other players which makes the game exactly that, unfair. The point is that everyone was to wakeup on a shit beach with shit gear and have a shit time, starting with guns and bandages and NVGs completely ruin the 'early game' part of DayZ, which in my eyes is one of the most important times. I don't believe that tangible benefits (tangible in-game items) should be a reward for donating, they aren't donating they are paying for weapons - if people want to donate for the upkeep of a server, good for them, if they are to receive privilidges for that server (Not having to wait if the server is full, etc) then great but I don't see how giving some players free shit because they gave you money is in any way moral or fair for your other players that may not be able to afford throwing $20 at a host to be able to start with weapons. -

At the moment they can do what they want, for standalone private servers I'd like to see a lot more restrictions on what hosts can do with the game. Too many morons trying to turn DayZ into something that it's not, including the disgraceful 'pay donate for benefits' servers. -

Nice video as always. Only thing I can suggest is release videos less frequently but make the include a lot more action (And they can be a bit longer too). Keep it up though :) -

This is all down to you, nothing wrong with the game. You should ask yourself WHY you didn't see them. If you know for a fact there are hostile people out there you should take longer but potentially safer routes, use cover, watch an area for a minute or so for any movement, avoid major hotspots - if you actually take your time to mitigate the threat it all pretty much disappears.

If being killed 'destroys your game' as you so eloquently put it, I really don't think DayZ is the game for you. I'm not trying to be awkward but the PvP aspect is a VERY big part of the game, whether you like it or not - there are times where I'd like to loot and gear up in peace but I know that I could be attacked at any time and I prepare for that. The problem I mainly see is people letting down their guard which is purely their own fault. -

Verify through Steam, looks like something had got a little messed up somewhere. (Right Click in Steam library -> Properties -> Local Files Tab -> Verify Integrity of Steam cache) -

I googled the IP and there are reports than the IP address used is from a server that was stolen from somebody else (Which would explain the blacklisting). Looking at the website it was from (and the people that own it) I'd steer clear as they seem to be hackers and it's best to avoid that crap before you get attached. -
Since they are obviously going to be adding multiple head-slot items I think this would work quite well. A way to potentially balance Gas Masks out would be to make the actual masks a rare drop but also require filters (military rare) for them to have any effect past cosmetics.

I don't agree with any of it other than the animation problem but I'm assuming that will be fixed for release. (Swiveling around looks a little strange). Tutorial is not needed, the game is meant to be harsh an unforgiving. The current system as it is is rather complicated and still takes no time no learn at all, if you can't work it out after your first sitting you've got more problems other than needing it shown to you. Teams, I don't really agree with. I am a fan of the radio suggestion as it as been suggested multiple times but I believe that a short-wave radio with the choice of a few frequencies would be better. The leaving in combat suggestion I do have a huge problem with, a lot of people have less than reliable internet and killing them for a problem that's outwith their control is really not fair. -

Welcome to DayZ. That's all part of the fun :) It makes you even more paranoid when you think about how many players might have ghillie suits or are sitting inside a building watching you. Edit: You get some really good servers where everyone is sneaky rather than running around all guns blazing, it really does give the game a completely different feel compared to a lot of the other servers out there.

I think it's a brilliant idea. Going around constantly with gun drawn properly is very taxing, even lighter rifles for short periods of time give you a nice ache in your arms if you are constantly aiming. People are complaining that it would slow down firefights? Good. It's meant to. People are complaining it's a hindrance? Good. It's meant to be. I can imagine it working very well, especially if you get caught be surprise you'll be at a real disadvantage compared to just doing a quick swivel round and emptying a mag into them. -

The problem I feel is these are the morons that come play 'DayZ' which isn't DayZ. They come to play a deathmatch on a big map, this is NOT what DayZ is meant to be, unfortunately these morons have equal weighting in their votes for stuff compared to everyone else. Trying to turn DayZ into something it's not shouldn't be encouraged. It's like giving someone noclip on Portal because they find it more fun. It doesn't matter how they feel about it, it's not how it's meant to be played. -

Original DayZ? What a load of shite. In original DayZ you can't pay to get items. Your server will do crap because it's just another shitty pay2win shitfest. I was impressed til I got to 'Perks' then couldn't help but facepalm. -
You should download DayZ Commander - It makes it easy to tell which servers are public/private and you can 'favourite' servers so you can easily find them again. It also allows you to easily download/install any updates to Arma II and DayZ as well as download/install any additional maps.
