    He's correct, you don't need to compensate for anything, a lot of the public hives are set in different timezones. If you are in Germany just use UTC or UTC+1, whatever suits you best - doesn't matter what anyone else has, just choose the best timezone for where you are located.

    I think it will be fun for those of us that want to play DayZ. For those that want to play super COD sandbox extreme 1000+ vehicles, Start with AS50 - they will hopefully be very disappointed. I just don't want them to ruin the game by catering to morons who want it to be easy.

    People sometimes log out because they are dicks and it's not possible to get to without another chopper and a lucky parachute drop. Just destroy it.

    It's all going to be sorted in standalone. They currently have 2000-3000 zombies per server sorted and they are working on getting it stable for 4000+ This will mean no running around, you will have to be stealthy.

    I cringed as soon as you started looting in front of him and he was still firing, knew exactly what was going to follow. EDIT: Also, have you tried recording with Dxtory? Apparently it plays a lot nicer in Arma II compared to Fraps.

    I don't think they should have attributes like that, it's not World of Warcraft. I would be perfectly happy as long as there were a few 'special' items with extra effects (Kevlar helmets can save a shot to the head, vest can reduce round damage to a certain amount, jackets reduce heat loss etc.). It should be more down to what you can find, the better stuff being the camo/military gear that allows you to blend in more, you aren't going to run significantly faster in the forest because you have a pair of magic boots on.

    If the loot chances are reduced it will obviously make it rare. If you also add in the 'degradation' system to the weapons it means that there are multiple different ways for weapons to be removed from the game other than dying and having your body despawn.

    That's a bit dodgy but nothing much will be done. They will deny being involved whether or not they are aware of it (Which one would assume they would be if they are advertising like that)

    Right the easiest way to get any problems sorted with wrong version etc. is by downloading and installing DayZ Commander. Once you've got that installed you can easily check if you are up-to-date with everything (Arma has to be up-to-date, DayZ has to be up-to-date and you can easily update with the click of a button, very simple to use.
