That is EXACTLY what you are doing. You knew the gear wasn't legitimate but clearly had no qualms about taking it and using it anyway. You may not have used them yourself but you are still benefiting from them to the detriment of other legitimate players.

All the stupid mod ones that got added were removed exactly because they were stupid, no idea why they were put in in the first place. If they added in a few 'lore-friendly', local Chernarus brands it would be pretty cool, they probably will have to for the Standalone for legal reasons anyway.

At a push something like a .338 Lapua or something wouldn't be TOO bad if there were to use the bolt-action variant and took a few seconds to actually ready the weapon again. A semi-automatic one-hit-kill sniper has no real place and definitely imbalances the game far too much for it to be widely available, .50cal weapons like this are NOT widely used and are certainly impractical for carrying around on your back, especially with an enormous backpack.

Pretty much anywhere but major US cities would be good, they've have been done and done again a million times. I might be biased but I think Central/Highland Scotland would be good and offer either a lot of 'wilderness' and built up areas or a bit of both. Another good one would be Africa - think Farcry 2 - certainly enough wilderness type area but also the opportunity for loads of built up areas as well as small villages - water would be a much bigger obstacle to overcome compared to the Chernarus map.

That will be fine. I normally play on one server when I'm with friends and in a group and mess around on another server when I'm on my own - makes it easier so everyone can log in at the same time in the same location. Have fun!

Yes, each of the private server has there own database of players and items. Your Overwatch items and gear will remain on the Overwatch server and you would start on the Namalsk server with no gear. When you gear up on the Namalsk server - the gear will remain only on the Namalsk server - so you will have different sets of gear for each server.

Wouldn't this just give an even bigger advantage to the groups that take all the vehicles and weapons and stash them around the north of the map and just sit and kill new spawns in the bottom half of the map?

A zombie doesn't have to refer to the typical 'reanimated dead' type zombie. It can refer to an infected person who has no control over their actions or self-awareness - 'brain-dead' but still technically host to an infection or parasite and thus 'alive' as far as most bodily functions go.

Yep, as the above poster said it will be released cheaper in Alpha. They are using a similar method of release to Minecraft - once the 'base' game is released, it will be designated as still being an Alpha build (So incomplete and probably a little buggy) but will be cheaper. Once enough development and progress has been made and they think the game is worthy it will be classified as being in beta stage and the price will be increased. The game will then be developed and polished a lot more in time for a proper 'retail' release where it will be given a proper 'complete' price. The standalone is exactly that, a standalone game. It requires no other games to run, it's completely separate from DayZ mod and Arma II:OA
