This info is pretty public, and easy assuming you know how to repack your mission, if you are using bliss just run repack.xxx. remove the line disableChannels[]= From you mission's description.ext

I believe the official DayZ hive uses named pipes which should be introduced with the latest linux beta for A2 OA. Although, from what I've read it's very unstable and requires extra libs. http://forums.bistud...beta-1-62-97240 Edit: if you look in the "ARMA 2 & OA - Servers & Administration" forum (the one that the thread is in) the newest beta will be stickied there and update routinely like windows betas. -
Any who, back on topic, scripts do exist that allow hackers to kick or crash other people (or the entire server), although they are quite old and I'm unsure if they still work.

Private Hive Bandwidth Utilization?

The only way to tell for real is use the performance manager to look at network utilization by the mysql and ArmA II OA Server processes. Take an average of a couple readings at the same interval, I.e. 3 readings @ 10 minutes then average them together. Of course server performance will be relative to your WAN connection speed/bandwidth, any less than I'd say 1.5-2Mbps for a 20 slot server would be laggy or cause a lot of desync. Also make sure the server has a good processor. P.s. synthetic bandwidth benchmarks/ speed tests will yield results that may be influenced by things like a speed boost (if you ISP gives one), for home internet this is common and you should look on your ISP's website (or contact support) for actual speeds without any speed boost. -

It is essentially just setting up a database and using an addon to connect to it, I use bliss. Lol, reality is tough my friend. If it's public then hackers will get in, some are smarter and much harder to catch than others, although, if you're skilled enough you can catch most of them. Oh and good luck "not taking any chances," banning players based of name is just flat out ridiculous, you need to be reasonable. Also, I wouldn't expect much help from any server host, or the dayz server host community if they saw you denounce them like this.

Contrary to some results I found on el goog, this has nothing to do with script detection txt files. Instead it has to do with the running process, particularly those that hook A2 or BE, currently active. A common detection for this is a detected bypass, script execute, or more commonly Cheat Engine. As far as I know there are no known false positives for this. -

If you had an illegal gun then, yeah it's ground for a ban. Hell, I ban for soldier and rocket skins too...The main reason is because hackers will generally use these skins while normal players will not, and I don't have time to investigate this garbage if you only use local scripts. -

Absolutely not, I think illegal weapons should be removed, as for all legitimate weapons, they should stay. I stopped playing regularly for the past couple weeks so I would have my gear for the next patch, or when there are less hackers.
