  1. Wrong forum, wrong people to ask. Ask BE they make the anticheat, take everything you hear here with a grain of salt. http://www.battleye.com/support.html [at] = @

    Dedicated tool server?

amounts of cores and ram don't matter as much as speed/frequency, instruction sets and other core optimization play an even larger role. A 6 core last gen processor will be most likely outperformed by a current gen 4 core processor. I'd suggest following this post http://dayzmod.com/f...-ticket-system/ the search function is also pretty helpful, google is helpful too. http://www.kellys-he...ials/dedicated/ You should also follow this guide to secure your server, anyone with half a brain takes security seriously. http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?121438-How-to-secure-Your-server-Read-here!

    Dedicated tool server?

If all you want to do is host a DayZ server you will probably need to get a static IP from your isp which is ~15 USD per ip. You will then probably have to get some sort of reliable high performance hardware to host a 50 player server. depending on your internet speeds you may or may not need to upgrade, i'd say a minimum of 5Mbps upstream is mandatory.

    Battle eye script restriction #54

use this, but it's awfully crashy. I do use both BERcon (can be found @ battleye's download page), the yboth have their uses. https://dev-heaven.net/projects/rcon/files

    Battle eye script restriction #54

Many illegal scripts modify the script that opens the dedicated control panel, when the dedicated/admin panel is opened in game the script is ran by the server. If we kick on opening the dedicated/admin panel then we remedy this problem. Although most hackers/script kiddies do not use this method anymore it is still great to have protection in place.
  6. test your graphics card with this. install msi kombuster and run it at appropriate settings, full screen with artifact detection/test. http://event.msi.com/vga/afterburner/download.htm

    Battle eye script restriction #54

Please don't comment if you don't have basic knowledge of the game's UI or menu system, geez... Anyway, you need to type #login adminpassword in chat to login. Use the # sign if not you will just type it into chat and will need to change it right away. Edit: ninjad

    Tent Camo

or better yet deploy-able camo netting!!!! QUICK you must flood the forums with numerous duplicate threads on this suggestion!
  11. The beta patch is universal across the 2 types of games. steam installs stable patches and the client installs beta patches.
  12. did you install the beta patch from here on your client? http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php
  13. sorry, there was supposed to be a comma there. install the beta in the green box from the link above.

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2.4

This system is probably must more simple. Your "simple" suggestion would require much more coding than logging of alt f4, he didnt even say a punishment was implemented yet. get a better monitor.
  15. Cool background.... reinstall the beta and patch 1.60 if you have retail non-steam. http://www.arma2.com/beta-patch.php

Extremly high Ping because of Battleye.

If it's BE I have no idea. Keep in contact with BE maybe it's a problem with the new update.

Extremly high Ping because of Battleye.

try a non-BE server, set a filter, it doesn't necessarily need to be DayZ just ArmA 2. As a second though perhaps someone setup QOS on your router and has gaming set to very low priority, do other games do the same thing?

Extremly high Ping because of Battleye.

This is not an acceptable solution, for diagnosing it is okay. Your router acts essentially as a firewal, operating a network without one is not good practice and leaves you completely vulnerable without a software firewall. I would suggest looking at your coaxle cable layout that goes to your router and tally up the total splits, each split should be marked on the cable splitter. an acceptable frequency for a modem is usually between -12 db and + 12db. keep in mind that splitters are marked in negative numbers so that 7 or 3.5 you see is a negative and signal levels decrease.

Extremly high Ping because of Battleye.

try this, it may be ArmA but usually ping is completely network-side. tell me what your result is, you can just link the image it generates. http://www.pingtest.net/

Extremly high Ping because of Battleye.

BE will probably not answer your question as they usually do not handle these types of support issues. Posting your network setup would help. What's your router model, what's your modem model, who's your service provider, what is your plan/data rates, what type of service do you have (DSL, Cable/Broadband) and are you wireless or wired?

    Turning into a zombie? ( FR16 )

yeah sorry about this. Many servers at the time, including FR16, received a battleye update which required a new scripts.txt (which is installed now). Since battleye needed a new scripts.txt file it renamed the old one to scripts_old.txt and thus the server started with no cheat protection. Battleye did notify server owners through RCON messages which are only seen if the admin stay logged into RCON for 30 seconds or more.

    Pending Update: Build 1.7.2.4

alt-f4 initiates a programs shutdown process. For example, press alt-f4 at the menu of ArmA 2 you will see shutdown. Alt-f4 and various other key combinations can be disabled by an application.

    Hotfix Build 1.7.2.3 Rolling Update

This happens because the server has low fps, it also got stuck to daytime when I ran my server @ UTC -7. It will fix upon server restart, the servers are not hacked.
