You want to use THEIR hive to host your server, rules like the ones in place now are there to prevent exploitation of the persistent database. If you think it's expensive to host your game server then you have no idea how expensive it is to host the hive.

No need for Antibiotics?

Antibiotics are common. Go to a hospital and loot the bottom part, you may have to shoot the glass out. Antibiotics commonly spawn in hospital loot piles, you may need to leave and come back if they do not appear instantly. -

Test your connection with speedtest.net then post the image they give you back here. Servers can use up to or more than 5Mbps at peak players. Meaning you will need at least 5Mbps to host a server poorly, at all. http://www.kellys-heroes.eu/files/tutorials/dedicated/ Follow that guide for the ArmA2.cfg for the server setup. -

You would want something short and powerful. A shotgun would be ideal, or any sub machine gun. An AK might not be the best choice as it sometimes has a tendency to get caught up on doorways when clearing a room. A large round is not really essential in close quarters combat, a small round can just as easily put someone on their ass like a 7.62 in close quarters. P.s. if you have a large calliber gun then you can shoot through walls without ever entering the room, you'll just have to guess where he is. My favorite is hiding behind a tipped over table and waiting for someone to walk in the door way :P

Here guys have some heightmaps usable in CE3 (I tested them). :) http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/34679-chernarus-height-map/page__st__40#entry548982 Also ArmA 2 uses an engine called Real Virtuality 3. Does anyone know what the player/world scale is in ArmA 2 so we can get an exact terrain height/scale in CE3, thanks. I know that in CE3 1 unit = 1 meter and 100 generic units in max = 1 unit in CE3. I think player height is 6 feet/ 1.83units in CE3 not sure of ArmA 2.

I think you agree to the terms of service when you apply to host a server. This is why the DayZ team are allowed to blacklist your server's ip. -

I still don't understand why you put hacker/admin, why not just put hacker/player... Although, thank you for grouping me and many others with illegitimate players, I really feel wanted and appreciated around here.

I really enjoy how stupid some people think admins can do everything a hacker can. We can kick you, lock a server, ban you, or send a message to you, that's it.
