Years have passed and the outbreak and the lack of care has tarnished the building. Blood on nearly every hallway and cell. Mold growing on each corner. Speakers spitting out static and darkness....nothing but darkness. What's left from the forgotten building is nothing more than cells after cells, a medical room, a shock therapy, an empty cafeteria that doesn't seem empty and a small library. Now it is filled with the infected but the chances of medical supplies lure the scavengers of the wasteland. Loot!!!!! Straitjacket (Great for taking hostages!) Been playing since the 1.4 patch of DayZ, so you'll know this is coming from a DayZ fan at heart. When Rocket promised and informed us about standalone we all cheered! What's more he said it'll be done by 2012 Christmast! We were kind of sad when Chrismast time passed and the standalone was no where to be seen. Several months later both good and bad things surfaced. WarZ being released and ofc the final development cycle of Standalone. Everyone thought it would come out 2014 and out of no where. The game appeared on Steam's Early Acess. I instantly bought it and theres something I have to say. It's really ALPHA. So early into alpha that the game is poorly optimized, no anti-hacks have been implemented and glitches galore. That being said there are some redeeming factors. It's absolute fun. Fun to the point where. I don't care anymore if I died from a glitch. Ironically because this game's loot is so unbalanced that you can gear yourself up in 10 minutes. Looting is soo much fun. Being a veteran in DayZ usually mean surviving for weeks and always go for high-value loot buildings. Even though it's the same map and same premise I'm actually looting houses for food. I'm fine with waiting for all the promises to be filled. Since the game's still fun, even if I get bored I can make my own fun out of what I have. It was worth my money. Thats all that matters

Hey guys. Do you think that by the time SA comes out you would know the entire map like the back of your hand? Well how about us list some environments or country that you would like to see. Here're some maps that i want but feel free to add to the idea. Russia Now don't think i'm greedy and asking for the whole of Russia. I'm asking more like the state where Moscow is located in The Central Federal District which is perfect mainly because then we can visit the Kremlin which is an iconic and massive building and the Lenin Mausoleum. Now if you think the Central Federal District is small then don't fear. We can do a 2-in-1 combo. We can have the Metro!!!! Now you must be wondering where did i get the idea from. I finished the book metro 2033 and i personally think it would fit the map. They might not be mutants but zombies can roam the underground. The zombies aren't the threat but rather the light of the flashlight of the player's gun shining through the tunnel. The Metro would also make a good base if you were to build one. If a server has a massive clan they could set up checkpoints in the Metro and let people in, in exchange for items. Rail cart built by survivors would be awesome too. It would make travelling around the tunnel faster, safer and possibly attract more attention than you would need. China Many blocks of building! What more could you want? Not just that some areas of China has factories which could be useful for materials. I haven't decided yet which part of China though so you could argue on that. China also has one of the biggest army in the world meaning loot galore. Due to the fact that the population is pretty huge they could possibly be more zombie population and vehicle population.

The purpose of this thread is to ask the community what they would like to see in future maps. I may not be a member of the dev team but it's nice to come around and discuss. Anyways who says these maps will HAVE to release on SA? They could release later, as long as SA comes out

Hey guys. Now that I am well informed that SA won't be coming out in a while I thought maybe i can think up a new area for the map so it doesn't get boring. That idea is........ Theme Park Ideas Story Chernarus is a post-soviet state. Civilians complain that their family can't have fun in any part of the whole state. Elders and loyalist also complain about the lack of the teaching of Marx and the fact that children aren't studying about Lenin. What did they do? They built a theme park dedicated to Russian/Soviet past. The clowns appear to be happy in the day but after hours they get drunk and become that creepy sad clown. The rides are all Soviet related. They's a roller-coaster that represents the ups and down of Mother Russia which almost everyone in the state adore. The foods are delicious and the children are known to fight over them. Due to the fact that they despise American products they sell Pirogi, Tula gingerbread Pastila and Ptichie Molokovs etc. The statue of Lenin and Stalin was well erected at the center of the park to show that their founders died for a cause. Months and days has passed and now the park is abandoned. The paint is saturating and all you could hear is the wind. It's the best place to look for general supplies because everyone seemed to have left in a hurry. The sweets are still kept in the stands and stores and the well hidden Vodka and alcohol are located somewhere near the clown's trailer park. In the end all is that left of the entire park is the writings of the children on the wall dedicated for messages and art works and the ghostly sound of the wind that sounds like children laughing. Architecture As much as a story writer person i am not so good with architecture. Anyone who would like to contribute could draw for us or post photos of theme parks closely related to the park. Enemies and risks What's scarier than zombies? Clown zombies and children zombies is a great answer and all of them can be found here. Wild bears are still caged (What could i do with that??? *wink wink*) and some wander around the park and they must be bored of that rotting meat taste. Music still randomly play around speakers at certain time and that my friend is a major problem. Rewards Boozes, food and general supplies is the surplus around the park. Some foods are rotten and attract rats but at least you can snag this unopened bottle of alcohol to pass the time. When it all fails you can always ride the ferris wheel and get a vantage point from there or you could just absorb the environment around you and listen to the stories and history this place has taught and remember the good times.

any wonderful artist somewhere could you please draft me what you would like the park to look like because as i stated before I'm not much of an architect more of a writer really. It would really help convince the dev that this sort of environment belongs in Chernarus.

Yes that's what i wanted! all i just want is the speakers to work so they can attract zombies or the loose animals at certain times of the day. Hopefully this thread doesn't die because I would hate for the time i spent on this to be wasted.

they should be a nationalist radio station! Since Chernarus is post-soviet i think people should be able to listen to nationalist rants like "back in my days we had food stamps instead of money" etc etc
