Auto hover in helicopters isn't as simple as you mistake it to be... The way that it use to work was: once you pass your target, the helicopter would backup usin sensors. It has been greatly improved since then. If you wanna start a real life battle, let's go: Upload a video of yourself taking off in a helicopter as a pilot, with no more assistance than auto hover, then fly 100 miles, circle around , and land with no more assistance than auto hover. That's what I thought...

You are correct about the zombies, but a future update will allow them to spawn. I will add the info to the main thread when I get on my conputer

DayZ has lower fps than most games because of zombies, do don't put this in the mod, please! Zombies in the SA will have 1 'section' where as here they have 5

Personally, I want to know what I'd going on with development. The last news we got on standalone was in november, and I just want a news report on what is going on, and why things are being delayed. I am waiting for standalone and cannot wait for it's release. I just want to know what is going on in the development, and what is holding the developers back.

All these YouTube stars play with their friends a lot, and have a better and more entertaining time. Most of my friends are not very fond of DayZ, due to their bad experience in the past, they do not want to return, the rest of my friends haven't bought DayZ, and are waiting for the Stand Alone. I agree with making flying more difficult, but as an experienced virtual pilot, and having flown in real aircraft from the cockpit, I would like to add the reasoning of allowing for anyone to fly a helicopter. I am not saying that it shouldn't be harder to fly air vehicles, in fact I believe that auto hover should be removed! What is your goal in DayZ? My main goal when I am playing is to find a helicopter, and fly it. If only experienced pilots that practice for hours a day to perfect their flying skills were the only ones that were able to fly the air craft, then why would others look for them? Although this would be a short term patch for banditing, soon people would KOS more, because they cannot fly a helicopter, so they aren't looking for them. Once a team has got 1-3 pilots, they don't need anymore, and will return to killing again. In conclusion: Although I want flying to become harder, I still want EVERYONE to have access to it. The better the pilot, the easier it will be for his gunners to kill enemies, and their friends will be reassured when stepping into his helicopter.

To whom it may concern, I have gotten dayz about a month back, hoping to play, before the stand alone released. Previously however, I would play games such as, Need for Speed, Test Drive unlimited 2, Flight simulator 2004, and Flight Simulator X. Due to the large times that I have played these games, my skills in driving, piloting, and reactions have increased dramatically, and I am now here to offer them to you. I have been flying helicopters in FSX for about 2000 hours, and other planes for about 4000. Driving cars isn't really my thing, but I am easily capable of hitting 200 KM, with traffic, and other obstacles, without crashing. Summarizing: IGN: john55223 Age:14 Roles: Pilot, Driver, Recon Time Zone: EST Time Available: 6 Hours a day minimum Time Playing DayZ: 63 Hours Notes: I do not like to play dayz solo, because i am easily bored alone.

I am sort of annoyed with auto hover. It allows anyone to get into a helicopter, and fly it with ease. I have spent thousands of hours flying virtual helicopters, on FSX and similar platforms, and have mastered stopping the helicopter manually. Then I see some dude, grab a heli, and fly like a newborn bat, then land with ease, due to the auto function. This would allow for a more team based effort in the game, as you would either need to practice flying alot, or find someone that can.

That sounds reasonable, but most servers would have it enabled anyway, because I can not find many server admins that are legit at playing, and are good at the game. Flying should be made accessible to all players, and it will be accessible but there will be greater risk depending on your experience in flying. I am pretty sure if someone found a helicopter in real life, they could fly it, but landing it, and taking off properly, would be of great risk. This is an anti-game, and the fact that it is unbalanced already, is a good enough excuse to take out the ability to land on roof tops with ease. With the auto hover feature, the only time you are at risk while flying a helicopter, and or landing, is when you have an AS50 aimed at you. Most helicopter windshields prevent bullets from penetrating, and rotors aren't to easy to hit. Without the auto hover feature, players are challenged to control all features of the helicopter, both pitch and yaw, and velocity. I understand there will be mixed feelings on this, but I don't believe that flying such a powerful machine, should be as easy as it is. There is no difference between driving a UAZ, and a helicopter, other than the lack of obstacles.

Same thin happened to me yesterday, more less... Me and my buddy left base to find a helicopter, we had 3 helicopters already, and our camp was sitting there for about a week. We needed to repair one of the heli's we found on the island. Went next to Poland factory, and landed on top. As we were about to leave, an admin by the name of 'big sexy' warns us he is restarting the server, which is odd because server auto restarts every 24 hours. The server restarts, and we are near the helicopter that we were flying earlier, but the thing was trashed. Everything that could be broken was, and there was no fuel... Assuming it wass bug, we got jn a car, and decided to drive back to base. Once we got there, we found all of our belongings gone, and our whiles blown up. After I se this, I flipped out at the admin, And he claimed it wasn't him. The we said,"how would someone find our base so far north?" he the. Replied, "maybe ou should hide those two helicopters better." We led that server, because he most likely did all that on purpose :/

Since most of the hackers that play this same are horrible, there are many times you can kill them with a hatchet, when the have a submachine gun... On an iPhone, so can't write my own story out, but would enjoy reading yours

Sniping is balanced... Do t like it play bf3. As a sniper, if a close ranges weapon is aimed at you, at close range, you are screwed. I have flanked and killed several snipers on hills etc, by coming from where they aren't looking, and shooting them in the head with an akm

So someone wanted to know how I killed him... I got lucky. He wasn't just bad at the game, he was bad at hacking. We were in electro, and this dude with a tractor comes out of nowhere. All I had was an axe, and my two buddies had nothing. Unfortunately an axe wouldn't stop a tractor. After some running, my friend got run over, and the hacker says," sorry, I will give you the tracor as a sorry gift." Bandits don't give sorry gifts, and e deliberately ran him over, so me and my remaining friend sneak into a house. Minutes later, the dude walks into the house, and looks at my friend, his back to me. I took the opportunity and hit him, knocking him out. I then perpetuated to removing his few brain cells, and checked his gear. Ghillie suit, NVGs, bino's coyote pack(the rare one) with an as50 and round and a submachine gun in his hands. I take some loot, and my mon calls me for food. Aborting and leaving my friend to the as 50 and rest of loot. I come back, and my friend tells me he teleported back and killed him about 20 seconds after I left.... And that is the story of a shitty hacker
