Ah but how do you know it was the same guy and not just a server hopper?

I was grinding my teeth a little when you were having problems equipping the fireaxe and pants, you probably know this already but double clicking a main hand weapon on the body will put it in your inventory if you have space for it and the pants can be equipped through the model in the middle of the inventory window just grab and drop it on your char when it shows light blue.

For some reason i can't quote someone on these forums even when i click the quote button...anyways. You can loot things ontop of drawers and out of the way places by doing two things: 1) Press Enter and go third person and target the item and wait a few seconds and the option should come up or go first person and stand back a little bit and do the same thing and it should show up 2) Stand as close as possible to the out of reach item (literally your player should be hugging the obstacle and then press TAB and the item should be in the Vicinity part of the Inventory menu.

Haven't found anything in the two story barns personally.

Some foods replen thirst most don't i would advise you give him water/soda cans and see if that works, This stand up unconscious bug has happend to both my squad mates and they get stuck in it, Funnily enough i shot one of them in the head while they were standing with an M4 and he logged off, came back on an hour later and his char was movable again, Even though he took a bullet directly to the head XD

Not 100% on this but its a possibility you knocked them unconscious and they just exited the server taking the char with them, Or indeed it is a bug and the dead avatar is disappearing....From my experience i kill someone and thier body continues to slide across the floor and then disappears.

Global mouth breathers and Streamers nattering to thier flock does urk me but hopefully this will be fixed soon.

< Played the original DayZ The problem with vanilla DayZ was the fact people who were geared would just camp mountainsides/tops of buildings and snipe new spawns, At least with more military sites added it levels the playing field a bit.

Any attack on you has a chance of knocking you out unfortunately the knockout period can vary usually in the 1 hour ballpark (you have to be logged in for the timer to continue)

ESC Button > Respawn >New Char >Loot>??>Profit.

I just loot a screwdriver to open my beans, although it damages the integrity of my precious canned goods, luckily some wannabe bandit tried to off me so i planted my fire axe into him and he happend to have a can opener :p

Well the way loot spawns now its fairly unlikely new spawns will find anything at bolata barracks unless the server has just restarted.

Apparently from my own research some servers are day and some are night it doesn't matter what timezone/region the server is in.

Im having the same issue since the new patch before it was fine and dandy.

Well i figured random spawns were already in, seeing as i spawned up by Novy as a new spawn once.

Before the last patch a friend of mine found a way of clearing blurry vision if its stuck and your on full health again apparently (i haven't tried this myself) if you go to the graphics options menu and then click cancel it will correct your blurry vision.

In my opinion using the sniper is a pussies game, real men track thier prey and take them out close range, anyone can snipe someone at 500+ meters in DayZ its just plain ridiculous.

Just joined this server and had the pleasure of meeting cheezuss unfortunately when i did login two hackers had formed some kind of sick funhouse at elektro fire station promising free loot from 2 cars they had stashed there, against my better judgement i decided to go down and check it out i was 200 meters away before the server went down for the restart, After the restart i got in and noticed one of the players hosting this "fun house" was having a GUID problem so that was my first red flag. Anyways i managed to climb over the sandbags from the south entrance and found the 2 cars, all 3 large door entrances were barbed wired and tank trapped so there was no way of leaving with the vehicles i checked the vehicles and found nothing in them at this point my mind was racing as to what to do and then the second host came online and immediately identified me as being in the fire station i quickly checked up the stairs (i was cautious and left all my gear with my tractor up north and came down with nothing cept a map) managed to loot an M9 SD and decided to bug out. As i was running for my life the second host was firing his M1 sniper but missing possibly baiting me to go prone but i just continued pegging it back north, at this point cheezuss put his foot down after checking the logs of foul play banned both hosts of this funhouse (i believe) All in all though i enjoyed my first day on the server i played it cautious and avoided cherno and elektro and it payed off (cept for my reccy to check out the funhouse) and i would like to thank cheezuss again for providing the server :)

Same left my server for food came back had a few updates for playonsix and now i have the above problems :(
