Well it seems Bohemia Interactive has a sweet approach to thier team and lets them have more then a week off for the "Christmas Holidays" unfortunately in my line of work all i get off is xmas day and then im back in the grime of things. Simply put you need to be patient and wait a few more days at least until the new year then you have grounds to bitch and whine, right now your just puffing up your chest for no reason, Comparing DayZ to that other piece of shit game is just not fair man and you know it.

Celtic you shouldn't be using the dupe glitch, If i had my way i would be happy for the dayz dev team to ban your arse from the alpha for doing it with the full knowledge its not legit.

You would end up in the land of debug where there's just rolling plain hills, its where your character spawns just before being thrown onto the coast..

I'll have to watch the video again, but as far as im aware you can carry the M4 in-hands with another weapon on your back but if you pick up anything or use anything you drop the gun in your hands. Edit: Yea he's using the Vicinity loot-grab mechanic which avoids using the scroll wheel to pick up stuff, Unsure if this is intended, maybe a dev could step in and give an insight?

Its not a hack its a dupe glitch, quite amusing how many times he copied himself but still this needs to be fixed.

Zombies sounds: Current bug with wildlife having the same sound files as the zombies Groaning sounds: Thats your character, He/She is telling you your in pain and need painkillers. Finally its a general census anyone who runs around in a payday mask is up to no good and generally shooting first is better then doing F1 while they line up thier shot on your juicy melon. Advice: Fix your char with meds, Drop the payday mask and be more stealthy.

I see your using the anti-hop method too, stamps down on server hoppers and tops off your supplies aswell, Fairgame i say.

I like it the way it is right now, Now if you wanted to carry more weapons/rifles and they implemented a rifle bag which made you drop your existing backpack in exchange for it then i would be fine with that seeing as it would be a trade off, More weapons = Less survival tools.

I forsee a 2nd January Patch Day, Might be a late push out what with the team shaking off thier massive NYE binge session :p

If they are a direct threat to me or are interfearing in my looting/objective they will get a bullet whether thier armed or not (remember bambis still have the Chuck Norris Fists of Fury)

DayZ is a harsh and unforgiving world as you the OP put it, its a Sandbox and some people just want to build sandtraps so others fall into them.

I have no problem losing my gear, i'll eventually get it back or better gear, What the OP seems to forget is even in the Mod gear was central to progression and to survive against other players so don't expect any different in the SA, As of right now we are Alphaing the bare bones central mechanics of the game and things will be added progressively. As of right now all there is to do is Explore,Gear Up,Squad Up,Help People,Kill People. There is no way you or anyone on this forum can stop the whiners from raging about losing thier gear, they'll learn eventually or they go play CoD/BF and then the players who will stick around will help form the game into what the Mod was +more.

Good Vid even though killing that newspawn was a bit bad taste, and jumping through windows is not a feature its currently a bug.

There is a way to dupe your gear with the exact same conditions of the items and they could have done this (im not telling you how to do it) OR he was generally being nice to you and figured they could easily gear up within an hour so it would be no loss for him.

Artemis won't survive in this game now i think about it, With what could be coming in the way of mechanics he would end up rage quitting claiming like he is now "DayZ isn't a first person shooter, Its survival with shooting put in but its still clunky" I found it hilarious he had no clue how to range his weapon like a true newbie and claims hes the biggest baddest fps mlg pro gamer on the face of the planet. If even a shred of this was true he would have done his homework, looked up information on the game he was playing and get the layout of the controls and mechanics but in ignorance he loads into the game and records how truely dense of a player he is and then lightly insults DayZ's mechanics as if the devs are wrong and he's right. If he was looking for more subs in the DayZ Community he just deadpan'd himself by insulting the game's basic and relatively easy to grasp controls and showed his stupidity by not getting clued up on the game in the first place whether it be the Mod or the SA. I look forward to seeing videos of him being handcuff raped, Force Fed Disinfectant, Beaten to death with just fists and just generally being wrecked by the playerbase. Why? He is the one streamer i would say deserves that treatment over and over again.

With the next update just around the corner (supposedly) and with the ability to still dupe gear (recent video on youtube showcasing it) Im thinking it would be a good idea if DayZ Devs did another wipe to level the playing field again, Now i know this is not going to go down well with the majority of the community but seeing as we are in Alpha to test things we shouldn't be really getting attached to our gear we have now (im partially attached to my player almost have full gear,ammo,meds etc) and with the current duping glitch thats being exploited it would starts us all with a clean slate (bonus points in the next update they ninja a patch in to balance the loot but im not expecting it) At the end of the day its DayZ and we'll get our gear back but it would be nice to start fresh.
