Where is the Challenge? This is a survival game afterall!
Sharp (DayZ) replied to RedDedZed's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
lol bloodbags w/ aids i voted for morphine addiction -
Yea my main points the stamina point but the addition of the second point about fitness was to simply discourage people from hiding there stuff despawning and running to get their stuff w/ their friends who just arrived

Reduced AKM/AK74 spawn, replace with SKS
Sharp (DayZ) replied to Bukethead's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I honestly think the higher class weapons like the AK's spawn far too much and would definitley like to see them being replaced by things like the SKS which may be more common to find in an old under used military barracks. The amount of people w/ akm's is just rediculous now whenever I'm killed and respawn i just go to brezinho or cherno and loot those tents and simply pick up what ever automatic weapons there. -
@Solid Snake They should run out of steam at some point but I think when the player is first spotted the zombies should be running like bezerkers :P @ GoTo2K I like the field of view thing but think even just a heavy breathing sound would suffice and yes it is a little RPGy but isnt this game sort of an open world RPG sandbox thing so just a suggestion nice idea about the FOV :P

yes i personally dont like the more health thing but I figured id put that in there anyway as a suggestion. Of course i dont really think stamina should affect the crawling in regards to your second point.

The first statement about the bandit skin was implemented a while ago and then taken out due to bandits not wanting to be bandits anymore and bandits being shot on sight instantly. The rest of your points dont make alot of sense with the mechanics of arma 2 as that would make people nearly invincible as most shots hit the torso Dont want to be mean just saying that your second statement would make alot of things OP and sounds alot like the COD/BF3 unlock system which doesnt really make sense

The basic idea of this suggestion is to add fitness and yes you guessed it fatigue. The general conclusion I can make from this game after playing for a few months is that zombies pose no problem to even the noob survivor whos played a day or simply watched a few gameplay videos. First I'll start with the obvious one Fatigue. Fatigue should be implemented much like it is now with the sprint mechanic in game. Players should gradually slow down after running at full speed for more then a few minutes. While this will hamper general movement around the map it will also increase the difficulties zeds pose to players, no longer will players be able to run from zeds for miles before loosing them due to the zeds getting stuck behind a rock. Now how would this be implemented you ask? Well there are two possibilities I can see, obviously theres the always non-realistc stamina bar/meter on the screen with the other possibility being the more realistic breathing sounds and obviously just the general slowing down of the player. Fitness could be another (less necessary in my own mind) addition. This would be something to give a boost to all those players who have been playing for days and still havent died sort of an incentive for being carefull and traveling as far as they have. The idea here is to gradually either 1) increase the top speed or 2) increase the amount of time the players can run at their top speed. 3) increase the amount of blood the player can hold in their bodies. (third ones not my favorite but i figured i'd put it in there). This would put more emphisis on the survival aspect and hopefully give people more incentive to simply not "respawn" to meet up with buddies. For the many who say post's like these are TLDR the important crap is in bold :P let the counter suggestions begin :).
