So here is a question, or maybe its just a suggestion. What about a decent discount for people buying the Alpha and helping move this game into a fully operational game? The dedicated player base who has stuck with the mod. Even if the discount is for 2-3 days, that would be awesome :D

Whats everyone up too? It looks like I'm not playing Day Z till tomorrow, taking forever to download this game for some reason....

So here is what's going on. I've been stalking these forums for a long, long time. Since 2012, and the only reason I have not played this game is because my laptop is a macbook.... Just bought a desktop today JUST to play Day Z, was waiting for standalone but I figured i could get a jumpstart and practice with the MOD.

downloaded via steam and the issue I'm having is that I have version 1.62 while all the servers are version 1.62.1037. Where do i get this newer version? The stickied threads links no longer work. Also, when I start the mod from desktop, I get a pop-up that states: "Arma 2 OA Addon 'dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_CommunityConfigurationProject_E' " I hit ok, and the game loads. but apparently I dont have the correct version and cannot find an up-to-date version to get the game running.

Ok so I downloaded the file at the top and i tried running application, it stated "wrong cd key".

quite literally doing the exact same thing lol. Tired of just watching this game go on, I spent $1500 on a PC to run the game :D

No idea, but I think best case scenario would be a 19/4 day/night cycle, so that each day, the time shifts back an hour, and peopls normal playing hours will eventually be night time and if its done this way for ALL servers, no one can complain :)

this is the reason I have followed Day Z for a year without being able to play, and why I spent $1500 on a computer to play this now lol

Quality story, next time shoot out the humvee's tire and watch them wreck their vehicle and say its not really your fault ;)

Okay, here is my little bit. 1) Mask is not required to put this game out for the masses who are waiting, so shouldnt have been developed pre-completion 2) It is not actually impractical. I'm a 23 year old guy, and I could see uses of this mask. - Surprise factor counts for a lot in fighting, if you see a guy with a mask like that, would you shoot or stare an extra second, thinking "WTF is that?!?!?"? That extra second could give the mask guy a chance to kill you. 3) Too late now. 4) could be used to make stories in-game, which for me, is part of the reason I love this game before I have gotten to play it and start my own stories. (For example, think about all the videos of the guy playing "its raining, its pouring" while haunting people with his axe? I loved them ideas) In conclusion, I believe this could have been apart of an update AFTER release of stand alone, to keep the game fresh and for people to have fun with the concept.

Thank you soooo much for the productive comment good sir. You solidified a singular choice of 6 as paying for the logo. I know very well that the majority is logo, BUT I added this option, because as far as the other options, it is not terribly over priced. It's not my favorite choice, but it seemed like a decent choice from the possible choices. Sorry if it doesnt seem like a legit option, but it was a middle ground choice

Well, its 0% interest, and since I'm active duty military, I have no problems with getting laid off. I've thought it through, and I'm only in a "temporary" money dip right now, cause I bought a 2nd car for my wife to drive to work. Thanks for the concern though ;)
