Look, we know your perfect, but its :A) a game idiot, i know better in real life. and B: i couldnt even see the berries, i was spamming bushes.
-
ive only been able to get berries from one model of bush, and that bush type is all over. There are like 30 in electro alone! also, each berry gave me worse effects, so all that come from the one bush that yields berries have been and are poison.
-
i couldnt even see the color of the berries! i was just spamming random bushes. are there different colors that can be seen? (red and yellow, kill a fellow, black and blue, good for you.)?

Careful, this could be seen as advertising.

Hello. Through extensive research, some of which is extremely controversial, I have pieced together the puzzle of the mosin as an over watch weapon, especially against moving targets. now then. My first area to report on is accuracy. I find that on the whole, mosins are better below 400 meters. this is mostly due to the drop and bullet flight time that need to be factored in for any shot over that amount, which complicate the shot and can cost precious seconds to our intrepid sharpshooters. Any shot under 400 meters was observed to have nearly unnoticeable flight time, arriving at target within a second and a half. (approximately) also, while i was using a PU Scope, the bullets path was almost perfectly flat. damage was not reduced by the distance either, it seems. On the coast (let the angry "go home CoDler" rants begin!) I found a comfortable spot and lie for about 50 minutes watching the wild life. They ran in nearly straight lines when unaware of other people, or threats of such a nature. as such, and having observed such behavior even among fully geared players in the northern wastes, I have come to the conclusion that most targets are fairly static with their movements, giving the mosin the edge it needs to be considered a marksman's rifle. Now, as I sat on the coast, I finally swallowed my pride and found my range, then proceeded with the damage model test. I was approximately 250-300 meters from a small town, on a position on a hill, above the road, where my camo blended and i was in cover. I started with torso damage. almost every shot (5/6) that hit the torso squarely instantly killed the subject. bleeding was also observed. Clothes were obliterated, as well as their contents. I then moved to the legs. I had no fatalities observed with leg shots. However, bleeding was consistent, and broken legs were observed in about 2/5 of all shots that hit the main part of the lower extremities. no unconsciousness was observed, and combat logging immediately ensued once they had attempted to spot their attacker and failed. (the goal here was science, not a pile of bodies.) Arm shots also seemed to deal reduced damage, with bleeding observed as with parts A and B of the study. Head-shots, needless to say, saved items and clothing on the main body, but are too risky in a world where one miss can mean a life. So, my overall observation that was taken from this study is: The mosin rifle, while of large size, and having low capacity, high noise, and a slow fire rate, is an excellent over-watch weapon, at least under 400 meters. It has a high first shot kill rate, and the ammo is plentiful. it can blend well with the environment, and come with a good range of attachments to augment its long range capabilities. It is useless in close range firefights, and a pistol is a must if you plan to use the mosin as a primary. An extraordinary gun overall. Thanks for reading!

I took about 8 shots from the damn thing before i went unconscious and they executed me. Its all about shot placement. Also, this is realistic damage. bullet size, bullet speed, and placement all take an effect. Especially with the damage to items, almost everyone aims for a headshot if they have the time to take it.

Glad that the community is full of harvard professors..... must have a tough life, having to correct forum posts, eh?

So im trying to play the damn experimental servers, and suddenly im kicked because i "timed out". then every time i join, i play for 2 minutes, then get kicked because my authentication timed out! because of this, i cant have a character, and i have to wait the five minute penalty for rejoining a server! anyone know whats up with this???
-
i restarted steam, and im doing ok..... ill post any changes.
-
.... Fuckin steam. Ill get a quicker reply here. I waited half a month to get a recover account response from valve.
-
I figure it was panicked citizens attempting to escape who set the fires. Molotovs can do hell to lightly armored vehicles.

Ive turned up my max ping and players, searched by ip, and gone on server list sites, and cant find any playable experimental servers! anyone got a working ip for one? almost everyone that i played the last patch on are listed as "dead" now. Why cant i enjoy this?! :P

For give me, community, for I have sinned. I have robbed one man, and murdered 3 others. The first was a simple matter. he had a headlamp on, and i was fresh spawn. once he drew the axe, my sympathy was gone, and i put him on his ass and took his things. I felt bad, but i was gladdened by the mid tier gear i obtained. The next.... was worse. I saw a light in electro, at what happened to be a well. I had a magnum and 8 bullets. and i wanted to test it out. so i ambushed them as they stared at that well.... one was killed instantly. the others realized how i found them, turned the light off, and scattered. i looked for them, and was headed away, when steps made me turn around, and i got two shots of magnum in my attacker before i was knocked unconscious. I heard him say "gotya, fucker", and chuckle. i resigned myself to death, as he had a mosin. I woke up 20 seconds later to him bandaging with his friend and him with backs turned. I took my magnum out and shot him 5 times. his friend ran at me with fists raised. we traded punches, and i got the upper hand as he bled from two good hits. he backed away, and tryed to reason with me. the dead ones body lying in the street. i took his mosin, and hand cuffed the last one as he said "you need help". i apologized, as i felt bad, and said "good night"/ he began to respond shortly before the bullet from his friends mosin hit his head, shattering the motorcycle helmet he wore. His name was Defcon-1. and I am sorry.

Ok, so heres what i figure. This seems to be a widespread, though short-lived, pathogen that has taken its effect, and we are the survivors of this pathogen, surviving on what is left. Perhaps, it was a type of bioterrorism, or biowar even, and obviously, should that be the case, no one is the winner. Perhaps, a chemcal spill or a natural mutation of a virus damages the brain causing hyperaggression. (my favorite theory is that with a mutation of a virus with fitting symptoms, like rabies, which causes hyperaggression, this came to be) Obviously this was not an overnight thing, as the blown up humvees and apcs seem to suggest widespread panic induced rioting as local forces tryed to contain both the infected and the panicked public. Before the entire country fell however, foreign aid was being send by way of helicopters, and land vehicles, which explains the helicopter crashes and foreign vehicles that can be fixed, as well as the clothing such as the UN and New Zealand berets. However, its seems that they were under-informed and under-prepared as they came to help what could have been seen as plain civil unrest, and were quickly overrun. Presumably at this point, the virus/bacteria/parasite was still virile, and infected some foreign soldiers, who died either at the bases of mortal wounds, which explains the body bags in mod, or turned as they were being evacuated by helicopter or vehicle, killing their former allies, resulting in a helicopter crash or a fixable vehicle. As this is going down, maybe our survivor is scratching by a living in the sewers, or mountains, or prehaps is at sea on a cruise or some such, and when the boat gets overrun, they jump ship, the trauma of which gives them amnesia, and they end up washing up on the Chernarussian shoreline with nothing. But really, this part of the character is up to the player. As can be seen, I think about Dayz too much, haha!
