    DAYZ server primer

If you want people to connect, the best idea is to pay for it to be hosted by a server service. I'm not sure if you can even run a server on your home PC. Anyway, here's a link to what seems to be a fairly commonly used server hosting service for DayZ. http://www.hfbservers.com/

    Bonfire, buying bases and 'rules'

Sure it defeats the purpose, but it's private hive and you have to pay to maintain servers.
  3. Not my death, but that's not important. Me and a friend were heading to loot the hospital in cherno, up by the apartments. We saw a guy standing in the little courtyard thing, so we stopped to watch for a second. My friend moved and aggroed a zombie. Since I had a silent M4 I was going to kill the zombie to keep from alerting all of cherno. So I pull up my rifle and take aim on the zombie. As I pull the trigger my friend decides to double back. He ran in front of the shot, which broke his legs. The zombie punched him in the head, knocking him unconscious and giving him another hole to bleed from. He bled out before his timer went out.

Current opinions regarding players killing on sight?

I don't KOS, but if they have weapons better than a hatchet, I don't see a problem with it.

    Build 1.7.4.5 Discussion

In order to hold with the idea of DayZ being "natural", it's worth noting that when aircraft are going down, they often radio a distress call. If we assume the map is satellite based (not necessarily GPS, just updated via satellite), then it could be updated that way.

{87th} Ranger Battalion Recruiting Veteran Players

    1. Are you affiliated with any other clans?: No, I do occasionally play with a few friends, though. 2. Can you work well in a squad environment?: Yes 3. If given a promotion would you step up to the occasion and lead your men?: Yes, although I'd prefer to not be in a leading position. 4. If one of our own is killed by another member what would you do?: Kill the traitor and wait on the dead member to return for their gear. 5.What role do you think you would fit best in a squad?(Assault, support, medic, sniper, pilot) Pilot, although I can function in any of the roles. 6. Can you drive/fly (car, helicopter)? I can drive, although I don't know how good I am at it. I'm an excellent pilot, though. I've been flying as troop transport on Arma for several months, and can confidently say that I can put a chopper down nearly anywhere.

Do you feel bad when you kill someone?

I've killed a couple players. I try not to, if possible. I prefer to sneak away when I find someone. The first kill I got was actually on a friend. I was killing zombies with an axe and he ran into the axe swing :P. The next kill was an enemy player. I tried to run, but he broke my legs. So I emptied a G17 in his chest. We both died, since I couldn't bandage fast enough. But I don't feel bad about it. Either they had it coming, or it was an accident.

    Traders and Traitors

+1 JAXSk8TeR1. There was a setback due to a glitch on server when we went to trade, but in the end every party left with what they wanted. He stayed the whole two hours it took to get everything to go through.

Trading my M4A1 CCO SD or my M9 SD

Despite a minor setback, the trade went through and all turned out pretty well. Would trade with again.
