I meant to stop people combat logging / alt + f4'ing when shot at/snipers shooting at you then instantly logging off to avoid zombies that come to investigate. Shock, as far as I can tell has 0 effect on you, except for if you log out whilst under the influence of shock, when you reconnect your character will be unconscious for about 5 minutes. The shaking screen thing has nothing to do with shock, it's just an effect from taking damage that is removable with painkillers. You cannot cure shock, the only cure for it is to wait it out. As far as I know shock doesn't effect your aim or any other bodily function. The only downside to being in shock is that if you disconnect whilst under the influence of shock, you will respawn in unconscious. This would be to stop the snipers who take pot shots at you, then log out so they don't have to deal with the zombies that come to investigate. Forget respawn, i'm talking about when you reconnect after you've disconnected from a server. Well the sideline for this would be that it would only apply to people who disconnect. (Via Alt+F4 or options->disconnect). Sure players could still pull their network cable out/BattleEYE can crash/your net drops under shock and not feel this punishment upon reconnecting. If a player loses connection he is still able to be killed before he times out from the server, it doesn't work in the same way as Alt+F4 so if feasible this punishment would only punish people who leave the game by their own choice. Hope this clears it up for you guys. *Edit: this has nothing to do with respawn spamming, I don't think that's an issue, sure it might annoy some people but if you play with friends who are new to the game, the best way to keep them playing is to hold their hand for a bit in the beginning.

As far as I know shock doesn't put you under duress, whilst aiming, it doesn't make you lose more food, water etc but it also has the added bonus of making people deal with that long ass unconscious timer if you log out under shock. Why isn't shock applied more widely? You shoot a sniper at someone, Shock. You get shot at by anything, Shock. Zombies out of nowhere, Shock. Maybe the way to cull combat loggers and meta is to just annoy the hell out them? I don't know how much you can alter shock length but if every time your gun went off/you were shot at if you combat logged you'd have to spend the next (5? by default) minutes unconscious. It'd make people pissed off enough that maybe they'd stop doing it? or it'd stop people doing it in high risk areas (NW eg.) What do you think? w'll

To IrishVillain: There are some very illegitimate characters farming these apartments on your server. Upon trying to assault them they're combat logging and meta gaming, I can't tell you the name of the guy as he's the one we couldn't get before all dying. I also suspect him of using 3rd party apps, as when I log in my game doesn't render everything for 10~ seconds which basically gives me wallhack and this guy not only had got upstairs in some apartments we had the doors covered in but was staring at my buddy through the floor and then me when I logged in. Time zone - GMT, time 01:00 AM today - 01:30 AM ish today. As I have little to no proof, I suggest going there at some stage, looking at what's going on there and maybe trying to find the people. Two of the guys we killed were called: alyxm and Armin Tamzarian, which should help you find the incidents in the server logs (If the logs even record it.) Hope you can look into it like you did the last person I reported from there. Ta, Will.

Server was LU1, Just gone through an empty Novy, heading towards the barns to hopefully luck some CZ. Building on the corner collapses in a flash and all three of my spread out squad "You Are Dead." Timezone: GMT - Time 01:55~ My friend who didn't rage close, just re-spawned in Cherno and that's getting bombarded aswell.

Server: ES1 http://arma2.swec.se/server/data/248066 Time: 17:30 (GMT Timezone) Story: I spawned at Krutoy cap, just had a suicidal gunfight in cherno and died, so I decided to swim to the island behind Krutoy (Skailsty). Upon arriving at the island I headed towards the only landmark I could see, a red&white telecom(?) mast, at the base of said mast were about 10-15 tents, I then noticed other guys around it in ghillies/camo with immense gear, I grabbed an axe and used mayhem as my ally and proceeded to wound/leg break two and kill one (Alan?). Cheating how? Well I had about 10seconds to act so I opened two tents to get a weapon, the first had about 30 M203 grenades in it, (I've seen less in my entire time playing DayZ) and they're all armed to the teeth. Actual cheat? Item Duping. I've come across camps like this before same old story of a ridiculous amount of gear in one place that even the best hoarders wouldn't collect. Hope this helps, w'll.

Can't tell you the time as I had to pop out, all I know is my 3man squad got into the middle of a literal hell as a heli swarmed zombies on us at NW Air, then he proceeded to combat drop players all over the airfield left right & center, we took man for man kills with a better ratio than them but we all died, then shortly after I respawned, server got nuked. Probably the most intense fucking thing i've ever experienced, 10/10 would try again, if that squad wasn't the cheaters, that was truely baller. If it was them, don't be mad when you can't beat a 3man squad with the land & air advantage and nuke the server bros.

Get a Prigodirik(sp) spawn, loot barn, head north west, loot castle, loot orange house, loot vishnoye, head north east, loot novy sobor, loot stary sobor, head north west, loot airfield. You now have enough weapons and gear to fight anyone on the server, man up.

They just need to make it not a pain to remove it (so much effort and time zooming into the support strut and then going through an animation.) I've been removing it as & when i've come across it as I also think it's a terrible feature that has no use yet.

Silenced weapons exist, I don't think their is a silenced sniper rifle.

Seen your name on the server, ahahaha good job on the video. We must have been a good 10 minutes apart, kinda glad we didn't bump into each other as it'd have not boded well for either of us.
