Managing inventory space is already sufficiently challenging when you start doing advanced things like repairing vehicles - and there are more mechanics to come like entrenchment, structure building, etc. The practical upshot will simply be more trips back and forth between storage and task. Needles tedium... I'm not really interested in playing Gear Menu Manager 2013. Good post though. -

Yeah' date=' no. That's a terrible solution. That's like "Oh I have a cold let me cut my nose off with a razor blade." A better solution would be an audio/visual queue if someone logs in near you, and a short time-out for logging in to any server you have been on and DC'd from in the last 10-15 minutes or so. Randomly warping people around the world is just really ugly and brute force. LOL that's even worse. Just stop. Let the professionals handle it in a way that's not ridiculous. -

I read it, thanks much. Did you read the part where he talks about how the build is fucked and if people complain about it they deserve to be mocked? Hmm? Did you get to that part? Just balance something heavy on your W key and watch a movie on Netflix or something. This happened to me 3 separate times on the same character and I was never willing to give up my ghillie suit or gear so I always made the jog...

Congratulations! I've never seen someone package so much hypocrisy into two words before. Oh, and with a threat of physical violence in real life. He threatens virtual violence in a game designed to permit and encourage exactly that, you threaten it in the real world. And HE'S the one we're supposed to worry about? Funny. -
What destroyed the buildings? People just got sick and started murdering each other. Doesn't seem like any major combat or military event ensued. In fact it seems like the military pulled out entirely, leaving their equipment behind. We went out with a whimper, not a bang.

Yes! Too right. I know when I read about the post-apocalyptic, open-world, sandbox PvP zombie game set in an amazing setting and built on a brutally realistic milsim I wasn't sure I wanted to try it out until I heard about the "good starting balance." That really sealed the deal for me. Seriously though. You're like LOL level at this point. -

Yeah, that's not really how it works. You can't just make a contract that circumvents existing consumer legal protections - like being charged for services or materials that were never delivered or rendered. You have your answer. Just call your credit card company and tell them the company has charged you for a service you never received. They will cancel it no questions asked. -
Would be a great addition and could tie in to the humanity system in... interesting ways. It's a central theme in The Road and part of what makes that book so unbelievably grim. It would have to come with some clever consequences, however. Otherwise food spawns will become completely meaningless. Human meat is... abundant.

Yes, enormous loss of FPS when I updated. Very frustrating. Used to play 1920x1080 "very high" now I'm down to like 1440x and moderate settings and STILL not getting comparable FPS. What could possibly have changed so drastically?

And you arbitrarily connected these events in your head despite 0 evidence of them actually being related in any way. If you read rocket's thread' date=' it says little about the starting equipment change having anything at all to do with trying to "fix" PvP, which he never even agreed was broken in the first place and a lot to do about how it's an interesting new dynamic that makes people think and act in different ways at the start of the game - which is true. Just because it's popular doesn't mean it's not Alpha. Alpha is Alpha, talking about it in public or having a lot of people who want to play isn't some kind of magical pixie dust that turns an Alpha into a late Beta. These are real terms with real meanings and implications for the state of the software and the priorities of the team. They don't just change overnight because you kind of feel like maybe it should because you're impatient. -
