  1. Hi WalkerDown - sorry if I sound dumb, but if the coords change in conversion from 3d to 2d, how can they be placed exact? When you say they must be designed with that offset in the model, where can this be done? Is it something we can control, or is it out of our control? Thanks again! :D
  2. Thanks for your reply :) So, how can I add buildings, but keep the right height etc? Or does this mean that basically everything has to be built at ground level, with no placing object of top of each other etc? Thanks :)

    Hi, I am pretty sure that I did this correctly, but maybe I missed something, because... The things I place don't appear in the game :( What's more... the position[]= and azimut are different from the: init="this setpos [blah.blah, blah.blah, blah.blah] co-ordinates Does this matter? :D
  4. Sorry for the delayed reply! Probably not - but you may only have to remove the ;@rmod from the launch options, or possibly remove the folder, not sure. I tend to prefer rMod servers myself though :) Let me know if you need any more help :)

    DayZ Standalone Confirmed

    I couldn't disagree with the posts below more! The guy started a mod... a FREE mod. It got popular, so a standalone was planned Someone ripped off the standalone, by basically cloning/re-skinning another existing game, which for any new business, is a risk He hands over the development of the free mod to a trusted member of the Dayz community (different, in my opinion, to abandoning it) Release date is put back - but hey, when don't release dates get put back??? Bear in mind too that 2 members of the arma3 dev team that got locked up (may not be working on dayz SA I know, but the SA is at least being developed by the same company, bound to effect it all). He gets flak for what? the delays? (usual in development) -= abandoning the FREE mod (erm, why not contact the guy thats handling the mod development now instead of moaning?!) IF you say he doesn't get flak of people, explain why a positive post gained 3 negatives in what, an hour? Don't get me wrong, I am sure there are things to complain about, but at the end of the day, this is a FREE ALPHA mod... and it's far superior to the War Z rubbish that was actually a paid product! I don't support EVERYTHING I see that's pro-rocket, far from it, but... Give the guy a break, it's likely been a hell of a rollercoaster ride with DayZ, and I am sure he is doing his best... why the hell wouldn't he be! Right... que the flaming of my post by all the haters!!!

    DayZ Standalone Confirmed

We all know that Dayz SA will be infinitely better than that War Z Rubbish :D Moreover, don't feel rushed into getting it out in time for the end of the year just because of all the posts about when it will be out!!! Instead, see people's keenness to see the release asap for what it is (with most people) - a commitment to DayZ in general, and a community excited about what's coming next :) At the end of the day, it takes as long as it takes. I am sure that the last thing ANYONE wants is for DayZ standalone to be rushed due to the pressure of the WarZ release, or for any other reason. Personally? I am really excited about the SA being released, but I will continue to play DayZ mod right up until then, and also continue to play the mod (along with the SA) when it's out... Nothing will change that, not if 100 x warZ updates came out in the meantime! :P

  10. Hi Ersan, Thanks for explaining. I must admit, the lack of update did seem out of character as you guys have always given frequent updates on any issues up until this point. So now you have explained that you thought your partner was keeping an eye on things, and for some reason he didn't, it all makes sense. Perhaps just a misunderstanding or something :) Thanks for offering to compensate for the downtime - but there is no need. You guys offer a great service as much as you can, and I want you to succeed, so there is no need for any form of compensation at all... Just continue to do a great job, and make the guy that was supposed to be checking the server for downtime in your absence, but for some reason didn't, make the in your office for the next week! :D Hahaha! One thing iI have been wondering about, regarding the mission file... I understand that soon (ish), we may be able to download specific files to edit (as opposed to full ftp), which is kinda cool. I have a few questions about this: 1) Will we just be able to upload/edit, or will we be able to download first? (so that we can backup the individual file before messing with it!) 2) If we run a modified mission file etc, will a Bliss update, or Dayz / Arma2 beta update mess with this, so that we need to re-upload it? - IF the answer to this is YES, then could there be a cron job set to email the server account holder on the event of an update? I mean, there would be no need for manual intervention I don't think, just something like an input box in the control panel, for the admin notification email address, so that this is then set in a variable for each server, to be emailed when the server gets updated...   11. Ersan, been happy with dayz.st up to now... Downtime just due to hackers mainly, with just a couple of outages etc down to power issues at dc. Right now though, i am starting to get unhappy :( Several hours ago i was told a suspected power issue at dc, but no update since then :( I think dayz.st is great, and you offer excellent service n support... But not today. I know its a sunday, but for a gameserver, thats a busy time :( Please update soon! (Although im off to sleep now, had enuf of trying to get an update!) Thanks, Petunia server.
  12. Ersan, server been down for HOURS now, no new updates on the support thread... I know it is to some extent out of your hands, but at the same time, is there really no update from the datacentre? I am new to game hosting, but I do have several dedicated servers for site hosting, and I don't think I have gone without updates from the server company when there is downtime like this - Although I must admit I do hassle them until things are fixed... Do you have ANY info at all? I am losing players (Sorry if I seem stressed, it's just after ages, I FINALLY started to get a good player base, then for the last few days, its all gone wrong :( I know you are trying hard... just could do with an update on the situation really :)

  14. Ahhh it seems to be live again :D Phew! Not sure if you did anything, but it was off for a fair while, not like it was a quick reboot or anything. Anyway, all seems okay now :D Thanks!

  17. I am getting an error when I try to get to control panel: mysql_pconnect(): No such file or directory in /sites/dayz.st/www/classes/db_mysql.class.phpCould not connect: No such file or directory
  18. Meh! I just edited the sqlite database, and added the guys in question (name, GUID and IP), and unfortunately in the 'Player Database' tab,m it doesnt give ban IP option, must be just for live players :( Any ideas on how to get around this?
  19. Yer, unfortunately, I didnt have DaRT running, just gotcha... so players aren't showing in DaRT. I do have their IP addy's though, any way to import them? maybe add to a log file???
  20. Anywhere in the server than can ban IP addresses? Or does gotcha or Dart have that? Would be great if it was possible in the control panel - just a simple list of banned IP's. I know some guys have dynamic IPs, but net everyone does :P Anyone know if this is possible?
