I so agree man, met up with someone in a hot spot but thanks to direct coms i was said "listen, i could have shot you but didnt, im friendly and walking in don't shoot" He didnt and i gave him a side arm to show friendship (wasnt an idiot tho it had no ammo) and we head north, We then argo through a wall and i open fire and kill a ton of zeds only to see more direct chat asking if were friendly and i say yes, he walks in kitted out with nice guns etc and could have killed us easy but didnt. thanks to direct chat its easier to team since the whole world doesnt know where you are going!

So my question: i just found a vehicle and got it working, it already had jerry cans in (4) and i was wondering, how do i refuel? can i drive it to the gas station and just wait in it (but wouldnt this attract Zed's) or do i have to sneak in and out with jerry cans to that big fuel tank every time?

Anyway to get fuel out of one vehicle to another? Also where abouts are these large cylinders? are they just at petrol stations?

*NEW MEDIC SUGGESTION* So I added Fonzie on steam and he came accross the map met me, i had a vehicle so he could have killed me and taken it but isntead gave me morphine and blood bags and only requested i mentioned him on the fourms! His steam name is: Capitano Fonzarelli

I agree, i almost shot someone dead at balota but didnt, i asked if friendly and we teamed up! i gave him a gun although no ammo and we set off! we spent ages walking till we got to a warehouse and spent 10 mins crawling to it as not to agro but a zed saw us through a wall :/ we got in and i opend fire with my AK and took down over 20 of the bastards :P only for another survivor to hear but instead of walking in and shooting us he asked if friendly and i said yes, so he got his mic working and we had a team of three people never before met working and sharing ammo! *just a side note, i asked and all three of us played Arma before Dayz and had been playing Dayz before the swarm of high interest, just thought that was an interesting note

So as the tile says, i found maps, watchs nice guns water, pepsi etc but going through houses and shops im not finding one damn can of food! is this just unlucky or have they toned down the spawn rate?

Yeah i eventually found one but i never new food was so rare, make it less rare but not to much that people dont need to carry any on them like last time

im in a convinant store (its flashing so i cant head to others) and there is NONE beautiful ammo and guns, but not a single can of food, pepsi on the other hand...

It means your knocked out, its not normal to be knocked out when you log in but i get it sometimes just get to a new location and log out see if that does something

So as the title says, i understand crouching is a no no if i don't want to attract attention but i've been crawling and im still getting agro and dying. whats the distance for them to notice me?

going slowly or not? i was fast crawling and a zed noticed me through a bush maybe 5 metres away, next thing i know i've past out and being eaten, so do i have to slow crawl everywhere?

Ok so heres how i roll, major towns and cities: Your on your own, get in get gear get out. trust no one dont hesitate to shoot Small villages up north: People are more trustworthy here but not much, watch and use common sense to judge Major loot spots such as airfields: dangerous places trust very little again BUT people might need help & willing to return it Woods: Your in with a chance of help Remember if they cant see you try and talk in game! The thing is' date=' its not a FFA, its survival. i team up with people becuase i need there help, or i dont want to kill them. i kill people because i need supplies. Pushing it towards a TD instead of survival i believe would ruin this mod because the mod does what most games dont. [hr'] I strongely disagree with him, but least i reason unlike the idiot you are dear sir.

Nice idea to stop it, but that would RUIN the atmosphere and turn it into a TD like never before. I like Dayz for the fact i dont know who to trust so i dont team up.
