Your playing on a casual server, the blue dot is yourself, (so instead of trying to survive and struggle to find places you can with ease look where you are and enjoy the no effort required side) I never really bothered to stay on one of those servers long enough to work out the orange dot but from arma 2 it was an unknown i think, so you couldnt tell if it was hostile or not so i would say its a player

i havent played any other game in ages. i gave up trying to organise other stuff

So this is not a complant just an observation of what i have seen with my friends and how they play compared to the "old Dayz" So firstly im 15, most of the people i play with are roughly that age and i've noticed they seem to play like, well children. They joined Dayz after it reached such a high level of popularity and i think this shows. First of all they see someone with pretty gear, they just shoot, they shoot unarmed people as well, why? because there stupid kids, they see a bright shiney thing. They want bright shiney thing and instead of having the paitence to try and trade or negotiate (or even RP a steal) they just shoot and take. Secondly, they dont value anything, i worked hard for vehicles and then they join me, they always have a go at me to "just use the vehicles its no fun if we dont use them! its a waste of time just having them sit there!" My friends dont seem to understand that they are precious and a luxery to have, you dont drive it to the NW airfield just because it saves time! and that they also need maintenance. I also have friends though that have played with my since early Dayz (and are a little older) that have resorted to shoot on sight, because of the people i mentioned before, they didnt partically want to but they have "addapted" to survive. Now i was wondering, have you adapted? i havent. I still dont shoot on sight, and i die. A lot. but as i say to my friends "i die with a good heart" (and they laugh at me.) now i know most people would consider my playing style stupid as i usually end up losing nice gear but thats how i play, im not complaining about it since i know every game changes and mutates through the course of its life and Dayz will probably change even more as it moves on, but i still play the "old way" i try and help first, shoot second. How do you play? Have you given up on your morales and now shoot first ask later? Do you see shiney things and just take? Or where you always that cold hearted killer that i use to know and love in Dayz before it got a little to cold. A few side notes: I know not every young person shoots on sight that is just an example and what i think is the main cause of this new engagement rule I know my spelling is bad, its not a good skill of mine, However i did try to please dont hate me for it. Thirdly im not complaining about how Dayz is changing. =) Oh and last but not least, this is my first major thread that is over 30 words so if it doesnt make much organised sense, im sorry as well :P

I dont kill on sight, i lose amazing gear because of this, i get my gear again and die with a good heart. ever since Dayz became popular its a PvP fest and i dont mind since every game changes and mutates along the way but ill die happy instead of adapting to be cold oh and A. yes (would need to learn with different guns tho since i only know basics)# B. no. i couldnt kill unless im in danger, if they start it then probably C. if my life is in peral

I play on a US server but im EU, i think its more the age tbh. im 15 and i play with people my age however they seem to follow the principle of "im a child, i see bright shiney thing, i take bright shiney thing with no actual effot but to click" where as people i teamed up with that are older seem to be a bit more resonable, but again just an observation

i dont believe there is a parachute in Dayz, i would advise getting someone to test it with no gear

so we have found a bust up boat, (it looks shot to hell) but its engine is good, one problem. its flooting in the middle of the water, how do i get a jerry can to it?

now they are interesting suggestions but heres the reasons why not: 1. they fact they are broken, all of them IS unrealistic however its a game and we need something to work to, if we had vehicles so easily the whole mystry and determination to get one would really ruin the status and achievment of getting one. 2. Use cooked meat to get blood back, the reason they have done this IMO is to try and encourage teamwork without making it being to much of a draw back for lone wolfs

I dont agree with killing them there since i spawned in the wilderness, looted the dead bodies and made an 8 hour run to the real game world so im proud of that but think they should be wiped without notice

just yesterday i found a boat so of course i would say no, however i do say once it makes it to beta wipe everything.

So i have found a boat, dumped all my gear except a jerry can and swam to it, however all i get is save boat or get in and if i get in, i cant stand on the boat just get kicked off when i get out so i cant seem to find out where the refuel is

i tend not to kill people, and yes this does lead to me to countless deaths and my friends think its stupid and i should just shoot but for me its my morals that stop me, i wont sink so low as to shoot someone simply becuase they have something i want or because i can. I would rather co-operate and get them to make me a fire and then cook my meat then kill them and take the matches and i get much more enjoyment out of this encounters as your still paranoid and worried about what will happen but its not a simple shoot on sight as this makes Dayz boring. I think Bandits make Dayz scary and interesting but Survivors make the game fun, if you know what im getting at? i just like to die with a good heart.
