Which would be fine, you missed the sound. If i am in a situation where I think i might get spawned in on, I will be listening for that particular sound. If I miss it, I miss it and could get killed that way, but if they are anywhere nearby then you should hear it, not taking in Helicopter wash or straight SAW fire. It's a method of battling it without destroying any systems, or hard coding in strange detectors, such as when that knock out system got implemented.

Of course when you wake up you dont dimensionaly shift either. maybe a groan or a cough, then? some sort of noise

So, I have been a victim of server hoppers whom also DC if they fail to kill you several times now. I understand it's being worked on and patiently await their fix. However, a lot of suggestions seem to be disconnect based, and while that would be good, i think a distinctive directchat-ranged chime would be useful when someone logs on. this way when someone is camping say a barracks, if someone spawns in inside the barracks, it would alert whomever is in the area. This combats hoppers, forces them to rethink their strategy, and generally encourages players to find a safe spot to log out, which for those whom enjoy realism reinforces finding a safe spot to sleep. General DCers would also be fought using this, as players they fight and dc against will immediately know they are back, and it doesnt seem terrifically hard to implement, not that I particularly understand scripting for this engine.

Spawned there AGAIN, but managed to find my way to Kamenka. I promptly glitched through a wall on the top level of a firestation after getting completely outfitted with an AKS Kobra and all low level tools, plumetting to my death. Alpha's. What can ya do. Anyhow, this appears to be some what of an issue with the latest patch.

I'm posting a new topic due to many other topics about the wilderness having a specific set of symptoms that my issue does not exhibit. I logged in to the new patch today, updated using SixLauncher, but did not update the Beta patch. I logged into the Wilderness. I could move around, see myself in third person, fire my gun (killed a few cows way out there), and see other players. I disconnected, tried different servers, and updated to today's Beta patch. Still no beans. So I respawned. I spawned near Cherno, spent an hour looking around and finding stuff, then the server reset. I connected to a new server, and got "Connection Failed". I tried several servers, all getting the same results (Pings were under 50, etc). I closed the game, and chose 'Quick play" from the SixLauncher. It connected, got past lobby, got to "Loading", and was stuck there for maybe ten minutes. I hit escape to no avail, so I hit Alt F4, the "Shutdown" dialog appeared, but then Windows 7 thought that it crashed. Launch again through SixLauncher, connected, I'm in the wilderness debug forest, with my new char. Can run around, hack people to death if I so chose to (I did not), all that jazz. Disconnect, reconnect to new server, "Server is locked", disconnect, connect to new server "Connection failed". Search isn't as... varied to find this issue, so I've found. If this is a new issue, should I bug report?

That issue has to do with setting a default profile, for the most part. It can be a deeper issue, but adding ""-name=PROFILE" to the launchpath may help (enter in your profile name where the PROFILE is) However for me, I don't have steam, and the methods in four different threads haven't solved it, so guess I'll just kill myself. LITERALLY. No, not really.

Used that method and got a tent up, but I also somehow duped my one tent into three. Put it down, then saw i had a tent still, so I tried to put that tent into my pitched tent's inventory, which then stored THAT tent, and I STILL had one in my inventory. So, involuntary duping.

Died at NW airfield and my framerate dropped down to around 10. And now trying to fix it, I'm getting knocked unconscious every time I join a server because its punishing me for logging on and off so often. Using an Nvidia GeForce GTX 560M

Since five hours ago I have been letting my comp connect to various low ping servers, and every single time I hit debug forest. I have been playing for several days, and this generally occurs during the day, at night I can get in. But usually not in this long of a time. I always let it time out, I never disconnect until I am in the forest. Is this just a traffic issue, and I am incredibly unlucky or is this something bigger? My character was glitching out a lot last night, I am not sure if it has anything to do with it. I am using the amazon version, fully updated using the DayZ 1.45 updater.
