Dayzmod will continue to exist with it's many variants and versions, it's player base will continue to wane of course but there will always be people wanting to play it and i see private servers continuing to host it for a good while yet. Sadly Dayz Public Hive (the real dayz) however is currently breathing it's last wheezing breaths, the script cunts have all but killed it... ...the arrival of Dayz Standalone will be a joyous day for us all but when you first click on the play button consider this, the Standalone brings with it the final death blow for the original and still the best incarnation of this wonderful game. RIP the Dayzmod public hive (April 2012 - ???? 2013)

If hero's run faster than bandits than what do bandits do better than a hero? Kill and steal indiscriminately and profit from that?

I recommend Taviana bridge on a full server, great if you have an armed heli hovering beneath the bridge ready to pop up on unsuspecting travellers =)

Rocket, forgive some peoples impatience, although most of us are more than happy to wait until you are satisfied with the game a few just can't contain their excitement.

I have one criticism, Rockets choice of testers. There was no enthusiasm, no constructive feedback, no sense of fun and they contributed very little, next time try inviting some popular youtubers who are vocal, opinionated, confident and know how to communicate honest opinions to a viewership.

I am a member of a medic group, i enjoy helping others and get a genuinely rewarding sense of satisfaction after risking my characters safety to help a fellow survivor out of a tight spot. I have conducted countless missions and my humanity currently sits at around 82,000. But i have a darker side, occasionally myself and few other medics slip quietly into an ambiguously titled TS3 channel, remove our in-game tags, change our player names and go on a meticulously planned and ruthlessly executed kill crazy rampage. It helps us to release all the pent up aggression and frustration that inevitably builds when trying to help others while being hacked, betrayed, trolled and all of the other stuff that dayz can throw at your average friendly neighberhood medic. Better out than in with that shit. Heroes of Dayz, I strongly urge you to allow your inner demons occasional free reign, go and wreak havoc, death and devastation from time to time, it's good for your mental well being and fun.

if what i believe is right then the SA will be harder to script on, that fact alone makes it for me, Arma3 does look sweeter of course and no doubt a 'Dayzmod2' based on Arma3 is already being worked on, which will just prompt a 'Dayz SA2' based on the Arma3 and Arma4? engines. Progress.......it's all good as far as i see it.

what kind of person offers cash for a kill? If you want to see irrefutable proof of steaks demise why not hunt him down and kill him yourself? tru dat ^^ it's just frustrating that the games basic physics can be so wrong so often, If anyone wants to try the following experiment and film it i'd love to see the results. Drive at 60 - 70 mph on an ATV past a friend and lets see how many times he can pull you off without suffering life threatening injuries or indeed death himself. Physics is something that rarely gets mentioned but it seriously needs looking at, few things more immersion breaking than hitting a cow in a gaz at 10 mph and watching it ping away through the air about 600 metres.

Just found a very serious bug indeed, apparently when a kiddie sheds a tear a food/drink item vanishes from the loot tables, not sure how this could be addressed, maybe by giving zero fucks and having the courage to ignore the trolls and sticking to your guns might do it.

servers cost very little, you can get one for £5 a week, if you have a clan and a few of you chip in that could be as little as 50p each a week, the reward for donating should be access to a friendly well run server and should not be high end gear. 'swhy it's called a donation and not a purchase, anyway who's gonna police it?

a fool and his money are easily parted. If there are a few dimwits out there who don't get that the effort spent in achieving something generates it's own sense of reward and would rather buy gear than experience the simple pleasure of discovering it then they deserve to be fleeced. If you don't want to pay for it then good for you, you can take comfort from the fact that you are not a lazy, joyless twat.

It's a shame about all that wasted effort and sad that a little known straw poll had the final say, people - your bottle went. As for the poll, nobody i play with was aware of it's existence until after the hotfix announcement, did over a million players vote? I doubt it, the trouble with polls is those who feel indifferent don't bother to vote, those who don't know about it don't vote either so you just get the weird ones who care too much either way spamming it, online polls mean nowt especially largely unknown and rushed polls. Pick a few of the better ones and slowly introduce them patch by patch, also recognise that there were some silly ones where the designers got a bit carried away and they should not be reintroduced.
