I played the new patch for about 7 straight hours yesterday and I have to say, overall, I like it. Zeds and infection - For the first time in months I felt afraid of the zeds. I died a lot to start with, at least 4 times in the first couple of hours, but once I realized just how much I needed to alter my approach things improved. The incidence of becoming infected seems a little too common but maybe that again was down to my inability to keep out of reach of the zeds, being knocked over by zeds that I feel I kept at a reasonable distance was irritating but again it added to what was a truly stressful and equally rewarding dayz session. Loot tables - Certain items seem harder to come by but seeing as there is an element of randomness to loot spawns it might be unfair to pin that on the update, me and a buddy spent a combined total of over 12 man hours searching for an engine which we never found despite combing the entire map, not necessarily a bad thing as our game play at least had a purpose to it. in my humble opinion the mod has been improved by this update. -
blood bagging is failing on our server, says transfusion was interrupted, blood bag is lost, this in spite of the fact that the recipient does nothing to interrupt the process, and the blood bag is never lost.

likes... More enterable buildings Vaulting More realistic and randomized spawning of loot and the fact that it's server side Shoot while walking 'Slightly' more polished graphics Zed animations Less military look to loot table Helmets Crafting/weapon attachments Clothing options New Radios replacing side chat Nailed down code to minimize hacking New player gestures Added/enhanced locations on the map Improved and more complex health system Much more players on the map at once Simple and intuitive inventory system Dislikes.... Zeds still glitching through walls/floors Crosshair still seems to be here -

Just logged in to a vanilla server to find my character in a different place to where I left him with entirely different gear, frankly suspicious looking gear. Clearly this key hasn't been banned yet, is there a way to sort this before that occurs? edit - just spotted the correct thread =/ please move me

note to devs - if dogs ever make it into the SA I expect to see the 'Attack groin' command option as standard

searched the forum but was surprised to find no reference to this maybe have little spots randomly appear around the new marshes after heavy rain, would need another player to help you out before you sink beneath providing an opportunity for both incidents of altruistic kindness and merciless cruelty. edit - sry for the bizarre video, it was the first one I found

of course you do, of course the video is an extreme example. I live on a farm and there are some well trodden tracks that have spots where, after heavy rains, the mud is more than knee deep, Lost count of the amount of ramblers and dog walkers who lost a welly or two.

thanks guys, will do it now =) I haven't ever downloaded anything dayz related except from BIS and DayZCommander, I was playing on an apparently fake 'GITS' server last week, before I heard that the admins there steal keys, I don't know if this is true or indeed has anything to do with them but the timing is uncanny. -
You may be correct, I don't know, how about mud, mud is everywhere and even if patches slowed you down, tired you out and occasionally trapped you it would be cool, imagine coming across the guy that just shot you stuck knee deep in mud =)

Maybe 1 or 2 scrapyards where all kinds of car/bike parts can be found, there could be randomized stacks of scrapped vehicles from which parts may be salvaged. It would add another location of interest and in rl every large town has at least one. Edit - for parts to be salvaged from a stacked vehicle maybe players need to get it down from the stack or remove any that are on top of it, in which case they could add forklift trucks or those cranes with the huge claw or magnet to the game, possibilities for lulz are obvious. Edit - 2. Vehicle compactor,, and maybe some kind of trolleys or pump trucks to wheel heavy parts back to a stricken vehicle, it always feels odd to me having an engine, 2 car wheels and a main rotor assembly etc in my backpack as I sprint cross country.

What are you talking about? faith can be described as a willingness to believe in something completely despite the absence of evidence. Are you saying that some players no longer believe that the SA is real? -

I for one breathed a huge sigh of relief when they postponed the original release to work on the engine and the foundations of DayZ, even though it was obvious that that meant several months until we see the game. I fail to understand the acute levels of impatience we see in some posts, I strongly suspect that these people are the very same who would be spamming the forums, intensely proclaiming their angry dissatisfaction with any bugs a rushed release might well have contained, bugs that the devs are studiously correcting right now. Some folks just love to grumble. -
