Ok, So I spotted a group of four from far away, about 600M with my binoculars. I asked if they were friendly, they said yes. I warned them multiple times that I was approaching. I got to them and one of them shot me when I said I was here. And yes I am mad bro. *multiple expletives* WTF?! I had an AKM, every type of accessory, map, compass, watch, hatchet, hunting knife. A good backpack, an M1911 with tons of ammo. Two blood bags! WTF?! This is the first time i've actually gotten raged after this bullshit happened. I think they were mexican, so I blame it on that..... honestly, I do.... server was full of mexicans... So yeah, I think I am done with this game for a very, very long time unless I could find some honest people to group with. It's fucking retarded.

[hr'] I honestly think I was having more fun when I WAS a noob and I had no idea where the good weapons were or the loot areas. Then I didn't really care when I died, and when I first started playing I would often run into non-hostiles... usually in the coastal noob areas. Since then I have been having (I think...) less and less fun. I also feel more inclined to shoot on sight when I have a good weapon as well as someone may want to kill me since I have good gear so they can take it.

I don't know! My gut instinct was telling me just to run north into the woods as I had plenty of supplies. But my superego was telling me to get a blood transfusion immediately cause I had two friggin blood bags... Sucks being a human...

Is 23 hours new? I needed someone to help me w/ a blood transfusion and it seemedl ike I would never be able to get someone to help me. I thought a group of 4 was more likely to help than some lone ranger.

Hi, I'm looking for military bases. I heard this is where the M16A2 ammo is, I need to find some more of it. I have no idea where the military bases are. Could anyone let me know? I could have sworn I saw something on here posted by a dev that said you could ask them to have your char restored if a hacker killed you, which is what just happened to me. Anyone know where this is? I can't seem to find it now..

It would be more fun IMO, if you could NOT turn up the gamma at night time. It is PITCH BLACK, and you can't see a damn thing so it is pretty hectic. I just started playing, but saw someone turn up their gamma in a stream so I tried it and well, you can play just as well at night as you can during daytime for the most part by turning gamma up. I feel like i'd be at a disadvantage especially against other people (PKers) if I didn't turn up my gamma. Thoughts? Do you do the same?

Sadly, that is what you get when the mod becomes more popular. I imagine it will get even worse, brace yourself! Humanity system may be a nice added touch and may discourage some of that behavior? Who knows. Some people honestly have the brain power of a squirrel for instance, and they can't even get immersed in the game and play that type of survival game. They think of it as a first person shooter and kill anything on sight. Don't blame the game, blame the morons that play it.

Hi, I found a building with an ALICE pack and a czech backpack. I could not pick up either. I accidentally dropped my coyote pack and also CANNOT pick that one up now! I am in-game as I write this and am screwed cause I cannot pick up any backpacks! What the heck? What am i doing wrong?

Two things. Someone else found the house and did the same thing I did. Dropped their backpack. Couldn't pick up any of the backpacks. Also after dropping my pistol, the ironsights are broken and the crosshair is a circle.

Well' date=' as I said i dropped my original coyote backpack too. I exited to lobby and re-joined seeing if that would help. Coyote bag disappeared :( Emptied my entire inventory, and still could not pick up either backpack! GARHHH! I know its an Alpha but ahhh. So I won't be able to pick up any backpacks anywhere? Should I re-join server or something? I think I need a backpack :sleepy: [hr'] When I press enter on the backpack instead of G. It shows at the top ALICE pack 20/20. But no way to loot it? I press enter on backpack and also G on backpack. I cannot pick it up? It says 'Open ALICE pack' when I point at it w/ mouse. Not sure what else I can say to describe situation. I really don't want to leave this building w/ two great backpacks in it. What can I do?

I am asking seriously though. I see the thread at the top (stickied I guess?) about people complaining the night is too dark. Why not just turn up the gamma?

Well, I expected I would need quite a bit of patience to play this for various reasons. The install was simple enough for me, but this is getting to the 10th time I have waiting on loading screens to join a server and have gotten in three times. Once to get immediately sniped by someone, and two other times to 'lag out'? This is starting to push my patience, just saying, this is very, very annoying! I found someone with a flare in a night server and was going to them (very excited!) and then I get the 'no message received for 20 seconds' and now it's up to 200 seconds probably. I know it is not a problem on my end, so is this just to be expected? Did I do something wrong? Is this common?

I've asked some people in game and this error appears to just be a server problem?

Hi. I am surprised at the performance I am getting in ARMA 2. I have never played before, but was intrigued by the DayZ mod. I have all settings on Very High. 1920x1080. 2x GTX 680 in SLI. i7-920 @ghz 12GB RAM Few issues, I am getting under 60 FPS. Aiming seems very laggy and hard to aim. Picture is very, very blurry. Any advice? Thank you.

Browsing Twitch.tv, usually watching SC2 matches I saw a few streams for ARMA 2. Now here I am, having bought the ARMA X Anniversary Edition for $60 off Steam (when I already had a boxed copy of the original ARMA 2 laying around, unopened.) They were playing the Dayz mod, wasn't sure what Dayz was at first and it looked boring, but then I looked it up and it all became clear that this looked awesome and I must try it!
