Attacked a guy in the woods NW of Cherno, (a tip of my hat to the fine gentleman for not DC'ing, he stuck around during a running gun battle - I think his name was Lance or Justice or something) and after I put the killing shot into him, I went to loot him for his ALICE. As I was reorganizing the contents of my backpack, I hear someone eating very close by. I look to my right, but I don't see anyone. I wait a few more seconds, and suddenly I see the grass about 20 feet from me being flattened by an invisible person. I got an immediate adrenaline surge, and NOPE'D the fuck out of there, running the craziest zig-zag I could manage, all the while a 1911 was banging out shots behind me. I hid behind a tree and DC'd, because no way am I losing my loot to an invisible guy. My hands were actually shaking. Between the funny eating noises and the invisible guy, it was like being attacked my the Predator. So cool.

I can understand people being skeptical if they'd never heard of invisible players before. It does seem far fetched. -
You get used to it. The first couple murders are always something of a system shock, and then you get used to it, and then you get addicted to it.

Just you. Spawning invisible is a known bug. I'm fairly sure the guy was just trying to fuck with me, and it worked. The eating nearby, the whole mag of 1911 shots that missed - it just all felt too contrived when I look back on it. In the moment though, that shit was terrifying. -
Weapon condition/degredation

Well it's nice to see that people who don't know what they're talking about make it so very obvious. Yes, one of the most prolific combat weapons of our time will "blow up in your hands" after a week of use. Countries around the world send their combat troops out with a rifle that will last for less time than their boots. Absurd. In truth though, I would like to see weapons found in different conditions, instead of degrading over time. In reality, no weapon in DayZ is going to be fired enough to show any sort of appreciable difference in performance. M16-family rifle barrels are good for about 5,000 rounds, AK-family rifle barrels are good for more than you could ever shoot through it (something like 25-30,000 rounds). It would be nice if weapons were spawned in with a "good, bad or ugly" condition, changing accuracy, power, maybe reliability. -
More than likely someone dropped them for a CZ, which is a barn spawn. Great little gun, the CZ.

Also, shooting your own gun should put you into shock, that way players can't just snipe quick and DC. -

Echoing the above commenters about more civilian guns. That would be great. Ruger 10/.22 is an enormously popular weapon in the civilian world, I'd love to see it. Also an assortment of open-sighted hunting rifles would be good. -

Well you know the little white icons in your HUD that show up when you take damage? That represents shock. Logging out with that shock icon active will mean that when you log back in, you will go unconscious for around 5 minutes or so. Change that feature to just outright killing the player. -

I think the Winny loaded from the side of the breech, somewhat like a pump action shotgun, just from the side instead of the bottom . There wasn't any mucking about with unscrewing caps and so on. The reload time is something of a double edged sword, because while it would take a significant amount of time to reload every shell, you could still pop in 3 or 4 at short notice and be good to rock and roll on short notice. Reloading in general ought to take longer than it does currently. We reload like hardened operators. We should be reloading like bumbling civilians. -

That's a bullshit answer to a legitimate problem. You completely ignore the variables of multiple targets, low power weapons, long ranges, playing conditions, etc. You might as well have said "ignore the problem because I'm a fool." -

Game purchase only, but with solid DLC and expansion packs to maintain revenue over the long term. Studio design, but with the current DayZ team as the final authority as to the game's direction. I would hate for some execs to fuck up our game experience. -

Depends on where you are. Closer to the coast there is much less DC as the new players either don't know or are still too wrapped up in the moment to remember to do it. When you go deep into the north, almost everyone DC's. The north sucks. -

That's exactly what I do! I leave them with literally nothing, including blood - I shoot them til it all leaks out. I mean honestly, hostage taking? Negotiation? That's for the birds. I'll stick to organ ventilation. -
