    Passed out and then...

I'm going to be the sceptic here an say that the only time you would have passed out for a long enough time to go to the forum to read is if you DC'd after getting shot and you were in shock. So when you logged back in you had the whole 5 minutes in unconscious and you thought no one would be around. Am I right?
  2. That's why I stay near the coast. New players don't DC, they stand and fight.

    M4A3 CCO or M14 EP1

M4 is only stronger under 35 meters and if the target is moving. M14 is still good for close range, which is the only range where the M4 is a competitor. As range increases, M14 gets even better.

Was this a punishment from god?

Well, god isn't real, so that makes divinie retribution highly unlikely.

Day Z is soon to be dead

Rocket will have access to ARMA3 source code and the full backing of BIS. You can bet your last cent that they are not going to be dropping the ball on this one. Everyone says "DayZ is so buggy! I die in the stupidest ways! There are so many hackers!" Those are all true, valid points. And still DayZ continues its relentless march towards one million players. If any other game I have ever played was as glitchy and buggy and hacked as DayZ is, I would have thrown up my hands and said "forget this bullshit" ages ago. But I don't because DayZ is still amazing. When the stand alone comes out, I will literally cream my pants from excitement.

    What hasn't killed you ?

    DayZ Death Bingo.
  7. Attacked a guy in the woods NW of Cherno, (a tip of my hat to the fine gentleman for not DC'ing, he stuck around during a running gun battle - I think his name was Lance or Justice or something) and after I put the killing shot into him, I went to loot him for his ALICE. As I was reorganizing the contents of my backpack, I hear someone eating very close by. I look to my right, but I don't see anyone. I wait a few more seconds, and suddenly I see the grass about 20 feet from me being flattened by an invisible person. I got an immediate adrenaline surge, and NOPE'D the fuck out of there, running the craziest zig-zag I could manage, all the while a 1911 was banging out shots behind me. I hid behind a tree and DC'd, because no way am I losing my loot to an invisible guy. My hands were actually shaking. Between the funny eating noises and the invisible guy, it was like being attacked my the Predator. So cool.

    Sins of a hacking gamer...

I know you're not, because that would be hard. You don't like things that are hard or challenging, you just want to cheat code it all away. Here's some Lindgard for you: "If you would read a man’s Disposition, see him Game; you will then learn more of him in one hour, than in seven Years Conversation." Translated for this century: "Talk is hot air. If you want to know a man, watch him compete." You can prattle away all you want on the forum, but you've laid yourself bare for everyone to see. You like to see things done, but not in the face of adversity, not if it requires hard work. You want lessons? Here's a lesson - life is hard and shitty, and you can't Up Down Left Right A B Start Select your car payments away. So you could respond to me, but you know my points are solid and irrefutable because you know in your heart they're true. You just want to respond to the easy comments or find someone to hold your head and say, "wipe your tears, it's okay," or talk about your pony show or whatever. You can't even be contrite without sucking at it. You disgust me.

    Sins of a hacking gamer...

Okay, I will add something to the discussion then. You're a weak little child who runs from his problems instead of facing them. "Boo hoo I lost all my stuff so now I'm going to cheat!" I can't even count the number of times I've lost gear to glitches, hackers, server hoppers, bugged backpacks, server resets, zombies spawning right next to me, etc. etc. But you know what? I, and hundreds of thousands of other players hit the beach, grit our teeth and bear it without resorting to spawning in gear. You didn't even lose your stuff to hackers or glitches, you lost it because you're a stupid asshole who can't read directions like everyone else here who was able to do 5 seconds of research, or has the common sense to know that swimming with 50 pounds of gear would kill you if you didn't drop it, and see that going into the water with their packs on is very very stupid. And look at you with your disgusting sense of self-entitlement, saying you "deserved a little something more for your trouble" or what have you. You should have hacked yourself in a pair of balls because obviously you don't have any of those in DayZ. So here's some constructive criticism for that you can digest: FUCK YOU. Half a million other people can play this game fair, and you expect - what? Sympathy? Penance? Vindication? You deserve none, and will get none from anyone here with any sense. Go back to cheating in GTA because obviously having to use your wits and sense is far too much for you.
  10. Heart beat speed persists through your different lives. You should hear mine, sounds like techno.

    Sins of a hacking gamer...

No seriously, that was way too much to read. Not everyone has infinite time to read some sort of "Hacker's Manifesto". I'm grateful to the fellow who provided the TL;DR.

    SERIOUS Hacks happening.

Why the hell did you stick around during the hack? At even the slightest hint of one of those kinds of hacks, I'm out in a flash. Next server.

    25 Rules of Combat Operations

I will disagree on the suppressing fire point, though. Nothing makes people think twice about sticking their heads up quite like incoming bullets. From the way you word it, you seem to be talking about some sort of probing fire, which is a completely different animal, used for exploring a suspicious piece of concealment with bullets. Suppressing fire is used when you know the location of the target, and is a very very effective modern military tactic. Say, for instance my friend and I are being engaged by a rifleman on a tower with cover. I would lay down continuous suppressive fire onto the tower to stop the target from seeing or firing on my partner as he flanks the position to a point where he can get a clear shot. If the target wants to stick up his head while under suppressive fire, he is more than welcome to do so while my suppressive fire quickly becomes direct fire and he starts catching bullets.

Dear Rocket, you have made death enjoyable!

Say whatever you want man, but I'm not the one missing the sounds of distant gunshots.

    Need blood transfusion in elecktro!

Lead transfusions are known to te surgeon general to cause cancer, deadening, and deathanitis.

Dear Rocket, you have made death enjoyable!

My first game was at night. At not the milky full moon night, but the no moon black as shit night. Every time that clanging fence noise went I died a little inside.

    Arma2 DLC related to DayZ?

I heard the British pack gives you a better ghillie suit, but I don't know for certain.

Dear Rocket, you have made death enjoyable!

Music? I have it turned off, that shit gives me the willies.
  19. Because of the lag inherent in the ARMA online experience, it is totally possible for two guys to deal enough damage to kill each other before the server can catch up an realize there's a war on.
  20. Mooseocalypse

    DMR or M24?

The DMR is nice in the fact that the scope can be zoomed in and out. M24 isn't feasible in short to medium range situations, whereas the DMR can still manage. If I had to make a difficult decision between the two, I'd say DMR as long as I had an AK or M4 in my bag.
  21. With ARMA on sale today, there's going to be a huge influx on new players. I know we've got the reputation lately of "devolving" into a PvP community, but remember that these new players will have zero ARMA experience and even inventory management will be something they'll have learn. I'm not saying don't murder, but just don't be a dick.
  22. TL;DR the majority of gamers are stupid children who have never been anywhere without street lights.
  23. Damn right. Finding and repairing a car is rewarding. Finding a car full of people and killing them and assuming ownership of their car is the best thing in the game.

Clan locking server ..to farm gear ... ?

Yep. They probably locked it to snag vehicles and choppers. They'll unlock the server when they get what they want.
  25. No, I just tell other noobs not to go there cause it's haunted.
