I made the original post under the assumption that toolboxes were still near impossible to find. I find a lot of them now. I don't have a problem with people placing them to grief. If someone loots a firehouse and on their way out they place a barricade, that is fine. If someone wants to fortify the position, more power to them. My original post was more towards server hopping. That is why I only suggested to have them disappear when someone leaves the server OR have them on a timer after the player leaves. Is there some secret to jumping over ANY barrier? Because I know that people who say, "lolol press v , dumbass" have encountered impassable ones. -

I think if there were "no-log zones" it would eliminate this... You cannot log out in any loot heavy AREAS, and if you do you are ported to the wilderness. This would just mean that people would have to run into the woods to logout. -
Only thing I can think of is the rarity of weapons now. Out of 20ish tree stands I looted, only 3 had weapons. Two of those weapon spawns didn't have ammo. Food is also super rare, although once you get matches (LOLOL so rare) you can easily feed yourself. The broken bones suck, but this is DayZ... Time to nut up. I make sure to loot the hospital in whatever area I am in and I go out of my way to find them. I think a lot of people need to mix up their play style now.

Hatchets are fine. Against the lone zed its easy, but get multiple zeds on you out in the open and you are dead. This is especially true now that zeds either knock you down or break your legs in 3 hits. If you bottleneck them into a building its really easy, but it would be in real life too... -

Are loot drops messed up? or is it just me. Looted over 10 tree stands, only weapon I saw was a hatchet. Also, 15rd shotgun shells don't seem to be spawning only 2rd.

Rocket, is there any chance that barriers can be fixed to eliminate people from farming loot locations when server hopping? Like making barrier disappear when someone leaves a server. They seemed to be only used for farming, as there is no practical use for barricades at this time. Is there any way that you can implement an item despawn radius when people log into a server to prevent server hopping?

There must be some secret to hopping over obstacles. I cannot jump over obstacles that sit flat on terrain. If the glitch through a building floor, I am able to get over them easily. If the obstacle sits right I cannot. -

You can step over the barriers sometimes. I have seen instances where there will be more than one barrier AND barrier type, just in case some glitch into the floor/are passable. In alot of cases, hopping the barrier will result into you glitching into the ground/barrier... This breaks both your legs and you bleed out. -

I also want to add that the camo outfit runs way slower than the ghillie and civilian clothes... I can run circles around my friends that have the camo. I don't know if that is intended -

I am still confused about the new starting gear. I understand not having a weapon. My "assumption" is that you went on a nice nature hike/camping trip and everything went to hell. You've slowly made it back to civilization to find hordes of undead... I can see in this situation NOT having a weapon. I sure as hell don't carry around a pistol with me all the time, but I can't see not having at least one waterbottle and some food. -
As of 1.7.1.1, I can place tents under trees. The only problem is that when I use one tent kit, I place 5 on the ground, in a line, but on top of each other.

I placed a tent today under some trees. The weird thing is... 5 seperate tents spawned on top of each other. Really weird.

The PBX tops out at 70... It is super fast. I ran between Elektro and Berezino in 5mins each way.

For the love of all that is good and holy, do not add this shitty cliche to DayZ. Or add a one of those shitty $100 Katanas that breaks at the hilt, so when someone picks it up and charges at Zeds they just end in tears.

I do find it funny that you are complaining about something that you were about to do to another player. This happens to everyone... Play differently next time. Mix it up. Explore and find the little hidden caches that Rocket has spread around. -
I know alot of people have said it but, instant zombie spawn needs to be fixed. Zombies still seem to be able to detect you through objects. 1-2 hit bleedout means you have to run to a building and force them to walk. Otherwise really nice update... Thanks for mixing it up.

No. Your player ID is persistent. So, you can change your name/face/etc all you want.

If you could make all items despawn around a certain radius of players when their character is created by a server, this would cut down on server hopping. Someone hops in Barracks for gear, the items despawn and they have to wait like everyone else. It would also help if barricades would despawn when someone leaves a server. This would prevent people from blocking off 15 Cherno Firehouses and hopping safely between them.
