Is Se7en still around? I remember his cities of duped tents up by misty peak, filled with NVGs and GPS and guns. I also remember him banning me from the server and TS after frapsing him cheating and destroying his tents on multiple occasions.. I was part of TMW for some time until I saw what really happened inside. -

what are you talking about? I got killed on a full server that was up for 2 hours, re spawned at Balota and combed through the Cherno apartment cars. Got fully camo geared up and got a mosin with Ammo inside of 30 minutes. You people don't look hard enough. -

I do believe that wound effects are still a work in progress, but I agree with you. Could you imagine the intensity of trying to treat a friend with a tension pneumothorax while under enemy fire? <wargasm>

Nope! No monthly fees, and it's only 1/2 the price of most other games at the moment. Plus there will be no DLC you have to pay for(how would they implement it?) And the dev team is very much in touch with the community. This game is what you make of it, but please be patient with the learning curve. Most features are not implemented yet, and it is not optimized right now.

It's likely your stance. Standing is an extremely unstable platform. At the most, try to crouch. If you try to fire with the bipod open in any position other than prone, it has a negative effect on accuracy as well.

Your stance has a huge effect on accuracy, along with attachments. The CQB stock is generally terrible.

Hahaha, some asshat broke one of my troops permanently doing that. 3 years later and he STILL shoots like that, despite me trying to fix him. Of course...he isn't the brightest crayon in the box to start with... -

There are different levels of body armour. Ceramic SAPI plates like the ones I wore on tour are designed and tested to stop 5.56 point blank, and 7.62×39 (AK47 family) from 100m. 7.62x54mm is a much faster, more lethal round. This is why the DMR, M14, etc, are more powerful than AK47s in ArmA. In fact, they fly SO fast, that upto 400m, the path of that round will never be more that 4 feet high. This is why you want to place a GPMG low to the ground. Up to 400m, everything dies. Bam. Sorry for going all 'theory of machine gun fire' on you, but it's late, and there are all sorts of people saying some wierd shit. EDIT: I can 100% confirm that Canad8an/American plates will stop 5.56 inside 30 feet. Friendly fire is a hell of a thing, and there is at least one guy walking around in Canada now thanks to his plate. -

That picture looks left handed because all he's done is flip the image. The forward assist is on the wrong side of the weapon. And there is no such thing as a left handed M4 in the military. The little angled thing directly behind the ejection port is a spent casing deflector. That's what makes an M4 ambidextrous. It deflects the brass straight out to the right. I would love to see left handed shooters in dayz! -

Most of the animations, including the melee are placeholder. They put them in to make it feel different, but they are far from permanent. For close quarters gunplay, try putting the CQB stock on an M4, I think you will be pleasantly surprised. The engine imploding inside cities is known, that's because they have not started optimization yet. It's not necessarily the graphical aspect, but rather the trouble is with tracking all those individual items inside your "network bubble". Down the road this will drastically improve, but they can't start optimization yet. Too many changes coming down the pipes. As far as game play goes, it is what you make of it. Personally, I plan on making scavenger hunts with notes when they get fixed. Hide a bambi-bag somewhere, and leave a trail of breadcrumbs for anyone willing to follow. I also like to support other players unexpectedly. If I catch someone being chased by an axe-wielding maniac, I'll drop the attacker with a mosin and leave the bewildered bambi to wonder what happened.
