    Play dead animation

a mask for who..? the zombies?!?
  2. So they are actually private?
  3. I use dayz commander to find my servers, and I don't like playing on private hives, I prefer vanilla dayz. However, it seems that official servers are starting to become just like private ones. I have 'hide unofficial' checked in my search filter, however it finds 'official' servers which have 'extra barracks' and 'more lootz' as well as extra vehicles etc; the list goes on. Are these actually connected to the public hive? If so, surely these are exploited daily by people who can't survive in real, pure vanilla dayz? Surely these servers shouldn't be allowed all these custom add-ons if they are going to be public hive? I don't understand how this is possibly fair on players like myself trying to get by the old fashioned way.
  4. Thing is, I actually find these kind of players helpful. When I die, I always move to a maxed out server, find some shitty weapon and make my way round to that hill just to kill these bandits and rob their gear so I can move north with a good loadout. Just yesterday I took three bandits out up there with a Winchester. These players panic when it comes to an actual confrontation where the target is shooting back, so it's ridiculously easy to kill them with low-level guns. These players - however much they are hated - provide me with a great starting loadout, and for this I thank them.

    DayZ zombies running inside

it's an alpha, deal with it.
  6. This guy has hit the nail on the head. Rocket has said they are not the undead, they are infected. I have always wanted to play a game in which the infected are as deadly as they are in 28 days/weeks later - they are a real threat, even just one at a time. With the pathfinding optimisation they demonstrated in that devblog all those years ago, this could be possible in the standalone. I don't think they should all be able to run faster than you though, that is silly, but some should be faster than others (the fatties can lag behind...)

    'PublicVariable Value Restriction #293'

Yeah I was, thanks for the help man.
  8. So I ambushed a guy in a ural who appeared to have combat logged once I approached the vehicle. The sever restart was due in 5 mins so I quickly moved the ural and waited for the restart. Upon logging back in, I scanned the ambush site and see a bandit lying down by a wall - most likely the guy who just combat logged. So, I get my DMR out and snipe him for a beautiful 350m headshot. I see it land, then he instantly disappears. This message appeared simultaneously: "BattleEye Client: Player Hunter unkRS ([guid]) has been kicked by BattleEye: PublicVariable Value Restriction #293" Any ideas on what this is any why is happened? inb4 quit whining; I'm simply interested rather than moaning. I have video of the entire thing if it is necessary to be viewed. Thanks. EDIT: The same message appeared for two different players when I ambushed the ural - the second player's name was 'sonofagun unkRS'. I've read on other posts with restrictions similar to this that it could be something to do with their name?
