  1. Could everyone that still has this issue check if there is any improvement with the new BE Client version (1.209)?
  2. Any feedback regarding this issue after the new DayZ update?
  3. Thanks for the information. Could you test again now?
  4. BE's bandwidth usage definitely has nothing to do with this. So you experienced desync every single day before that?
  5. May I ask if anyone here experienced any improvements regarding this issue within the last 24 hours? That's how long BE is completely down so far (see the news post on http://www.battleye.com/).
  6. Converting the server-side BE filters (not scripts.txt!) to the new format is actually quite simple. You just have to escape all regex metacharacters as described here: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?167504-Regular-Expression-%28Regex%29-Support-for-BE-Filters. Then just put "//new" at the beginning of each file so the BE Server actually loads it and you should be good to go. And no, I'm not saying that this will only take a few minutes.
  7. Did you test yesterday (after my first post about the changes) as well?
  8. Could you guys specifically tell me if it's better for you (and others) today than what it was like yesterday? I know it's generally better than a few days ago, but at this point I'm mainly looking for comparisons to yesterday.
  9. Right, that's what my investigation has shown as well. The game's bandwidth usage increases drastically when being close to other players. I found that BE currently can be negatively affected by this on certain systems (security/anti-virus software can play a role too), which will be fixed in the next BE Client update. For now I have disabled the parts that could have an impact on desync, so if you still have issues it's likely not related to BE. Could those that still had desync problems on BE servers yesterday check again today?
  10. Did you have this issue constantly for the past few days?

    Freezin/Desync

See my post here: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/164323-update-player-proximity-desync-issue-need-your-help-again/page-2#entry1666448. Waiting for feedback.
  12. I just changed something on BE's side. Could you guys confirm that the issue is still there?
  13. Please see my other posts on this thread.
  14. The DayZ dev team is well aware of this issue and investigating it as well. A fix will be provided ASAP. I don't think the community's help is needed at this point in time.
  15. I thought I mentioned that the problem has already been investigated? The "work done here" is, I'm sorry to say, just speculation. This is not how bugs are fixed. We all know that there are issues, but so far no technical indication could be found that this is indeed related to BE. I think I also mentioned that I'm ready to admit any issue once actually confirmed, so I'm not sure what's ridiculous about this attitude. It's not just a single user. I have seen many reports (on this forum as well) claiming that these issues are also experienced on non-BE servers (after a while). How do you explain these?
  16. I'm sorry for bursting your bubble ( ;)), but desync and anti-virus software are not related in any way. This is most likely just coincidence and you will soon have ping and desync problems on the same or other servers again. Note that stuttering/freezing (i.e. impact on performance/FPS) is a separate issue altogether.

Up to 100k desync on nearly every server!!!

Please see my post here: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/164323-update-player-proximity-desync-issue-need-your-help-again/page-2#entry1664343.
  18. It has been technically investigated, yes. I'd also like to add that this pretty much exact BE version has been used in OA without any such desync issues for a long time and in this game there are servers with a higher slot count as well. Some of the accusations here are simply wrong. I will be the first to admit there are issues if someone supplies solid technical proof. Just stating that you only have these issues on BE servers doesn't help because literally all servers on the main hive are BE-enabled and only BE servers are constantly active in terms of population and connects/disconnects. So if there is an issue with the current game version that gets worse the more strain there is on a server this outcome is exactly what you would expect. Again, all I can say regarding BE right now is: correlation != causation. Here is a list of technical facts: 1.) BE doesn't interfere with the game's network traffic in any way nor does it block anything (as some have claimed here). 2.) BE only uses a very small amount of resources (CPU and bandwidth), compared to the game it should be almost unnoticable. 3.) (Server-side) desync issues are different from (client-side) stuttering/freezing issues and cannot be caused by security software (which is wrongly implied by the poll).
  19. Those are some tough accusations. Let me state that correlation != causation. I have investigated this issue and couldn't find any relation to BE. Note that I'm talking about the desync issue here, not the stuttering/freezing that a few people experience (which can be caused by certain security software in combination with BE). We are talking about two separate issues here, so they should not be mixed up. Desync issues can hardly be caused by any security software. Keep the following in mind: 1. Non-BE servers aren't quite active and don't have nearly as many connects/disconnects. 2. Non-BE servers use a separate hive. A user I was talking to confirmed that after a while he experienced this issue on non-BE servers as well.
  20. Have you already tried what I suggested (see previous page)?
  21. I'm not sure I understand you, are you saying that the problem is now fixed for you? If so, what program(s) did you disable/uninstall?
  22. Normally security software doesn't cause this, but in some cases for certain users there can be problems. I'm sorry, but unfortunately there is not much I can do if certain software doesn't like what BE is doing. Believe me, it was tried before. You might as well ask the creators of such software for a solution. For example, recently ESET, the creators of NOD32, fixed the stuttering issue caused by their software on BE servers.
  23. Please try the following: 1.) Temporarily uninstall any security software from your system. 2.) Run the "msconfig" tool and select "Diagnostic startup". Then reboot your system. Something on your system interferes with BE's scanning and the result is such stuttering/freezing (I'm not talking about in-game lag, which is not related to BE). This has been investigated before and unfortunately it can't be fixed on BE's side.

    Battleye over VAC?

Please ask some private hack users about their preference (BE vs. VAC). If they are honest they will most likely give you a clear answer.
