I have nothing against donator features beacause it helps servers pay the bills, but ... yeah spawning with a ghillie and DMR ruins the whole point of the game. If I was owning a DayZ mod server, i'd probably have a donator loadout, but it'd be something like... - Spawn with a little bit of food drink - Spawn with some additional medical supplies - Spawn with a better sidearm than the "non donators" And perhaps a better backpack, but that would be it as far as donation perks goes. :) LOL... just look at the DayZ mod server list.. that's pretty close to the reality. -

I totally agree with you, there is no good vanilla servers on the mod anymore, every server you go in will have 5000 vehicles spawned, with a military grade starting gear.. and most crowded servers will have donator features as well. I do enjoy private hives and the ability to slightly modify the mission file ..but the community has abused this in the mod and I don't see why they wouldn't in the Standalone. That being said, I miss the good old days where there wasn't 400 sub mods of DayZ and heavily modified mission files on the Vanilla version. :( -

USMC's service pistol is a Beretta M9. Usually, only ."Special Forces" will be able to choose / customize their weapons, and unless you're an Officer with a certain rank you don't get to choose your sidearm either. -

You can see trough it as long as it's not ruined as far as I know, but the scope won't be calibrated and you'll need to find a quiet spot to see where your bullets land when you shoot.

There will most certainly be vehicles in future updates since there were vehicles and sometimes airplanes & helicopters in DayZ Mod on Arma 2.

No... just no.. Forest are like the safest place to be in DayZ .. and I don't think they'll ever add any other "monsters" or whatever you wanna call it than zombies.

It's still Alpha, just hope they'll fix framerate issues before full release. (Although most Bohemia Interactive games have framerate issues for some people... but it's understandable since maps are huge ... and many other factors)

Long range skope (LRS) where does it spawn?

They'll usually only spawn in Hangars & Barracks and sometimes in MP Buildings (but don't take my word on it). If you happen to see it somewhere else someone probably ditched it. -

I doubt they'll ever do that. You chose to install the experimental version of the game, so you took the risk of having issues / no servers to play on and servers not being restarted. This is why I stick to the regular branch. :)

Yeah .. Dean totally needs "pay to cheat" website's money, uh ? ... and if I were to pay someone to let me hack / abuse the game I'd probably go ahead and pay BattlEye instead. :P -
Did you check that you were joining the proper hive ? What I mean is .. if you're playing on a regular difficulty server and then switch to an hardcore server ... it's not gonna work, they're two different hives (databases). So yeah.. and if you made sure you re-joined the proper hive .. then I don't know what to tell ya. :)
