Hey guys, Just got online after putting together my new build! I have done alot of research around this game and am not looking forward to bumping into a hacker...I want a private hive to call home with decent mature players. Im 23 and am only looking to enjoy this game the way it was intended! Im in AUS but US servers seem to have decent ping too...Let me know if you know a place :-) Cheers fellaz...

At the moment I dont really enjoy/get the dynamics of how we hide bodies in DayZ. What I mean is it only take a few seconds to hide a body underground so players can not A) Come back for their gear or B)Other players wont stumble across them. I was recently playing with 2 friends doing some overwatch sniping. I was posted about 250-300 metres away from my closest teammate. I had a player creep up on me and take me out with an assualt rifle. Within seconds my teammate was on it and took him out. They went over to watch over my gear when yep, you guessed it...Body was hidden. It just doesnt make sense if your looking at it in the real world that a human could bury another human body in 4-5 seconds...Lettalone without any shovels etc... I think a great addition to DayZ would be to make the burial quite lengthy...Such as 30-45 seconds or so and maybe you also need to find a shovel or something to do so. It would add some tense decision making moment when in the moment you have to decide whether to run into that field to check then hide the body or play it safe and just move on because it would take over a minute looting then hiding the body.. It would make it much more realistic and it would make that run back to Stary from the coast worth it because there is a higher chance the person may not have hid the body. You can almost guarantee you body/loot will be gone after death as it is so quick to hide it... The way it is now I just dont buy it...Looks more like a magic disappearing act than someone burying a human corpse!

Hey guys, I have just recentley started playing on a private hive. Im putting it up here so any Aussie or NZ players looking for a good private hive to play on should really come check it out. It has a few different clans(Which I am not a part of :-)..) andit also has Zel as a Safe Zone so people can stock up on food and basic gear safely if they want to. There is usually a good amount of players on and any hackers are dealt with basically straight away as soon as any unusual activity is noticed. We all know the feeling of spending hours/days gearing up only to have it taken away from somebody killing the whole server!!! Just so you know I am only a player on this server...I am not the owner nor am I a moderator/admin...I am putting this up here because before I found this server it took me quite sometime to find a private hive to call home... You have to sign up to the forum and get whitelisted(which is usually straight away) in order to get the password but once thats done you are good to go! Ok so I have come across a M4A1 CCO SD, M240 and a M16A4 ACOG as I write this...Im pretty well geared already rollin with a DMR but I always like a spare primary in my backpack for different situations...If you had a DMR what would you choose out of those 3 as a secondary???

Private Hives have the potential to be AWESOME if you find a decent one...I have recently been playing on a private hive with active admins so as soon as suspicious activity is noticed its looked into and appropriate action is taken :-)

Thats what I do when im near the coast. I will specifically keep an extra sidearm with 1-2 clips just so I can give it to an unarmed player if I stumble across one. Its only 4-5 slots. I make sure to tell them not to turn towards me or I will shoot. They happily oblidge and run off into the distance. The satisfaction I get from helping someone and knowing they truely appreciate it is far greater than shooting someone in thier back and ruining thier hard work!
