First off: thanks to everyone involved in this mod - awesome game! -------------------------------------- The situation is as follows: - Arma II anniversary edition installed, patched (plays properly online) - DayZ mod installed (re-installed, etc.) - playing DayZ usually as a group of 3 while 2 experience the issue - these two players are both connecting from the same network - other games (BF2; PR:BF2; vArmA II; PR:AA) run totally fine with good pings While being in the server-list aswell as being in-game I have really good ping times somewhere around the 20's - 30's (oc depending on the server but yeah) but as soon as I get near some (2-3 might be enough already) Zeds my ping goes super crazy and rises in the 1000's and above. Oc the chain symbols appear and the desync counter rises too. This stays pretty much as long as I am near them. When I leave into the woods again, it takes some time (30s - 60s maybe) until the ping falls to the usual amount. While this is happening, the Zombies' and my movement is totally fine, no warping, no glitching, everything is smooth...except for the human players around me. We then might see each other on totally different spots, maybe crawling on the spot without moving, doing sth. completely different as the person is describing, you name it - I guess that is what they call desync. Also TS3 (when running) gets slowed down immense as well. The questions I now have are these: What is it with the Zeds that slows my "mate 1" and me so brutally down, while "mate 2" with the same retail version of the game and an slightly worse "starting-ping" is totally fine? Is this a common bug? (didn't find anything and I searched for a while) ---------------------- TL;DR: very extreme (1000+) ping times on contact with zeds; vanilla arma (koop) plays fine ---------------------- As this drags down our communication aswell this is a very annoying issue for all 3 of us and I would be very happy to read any helpful answers!
