As I said, Scarlet... I'm sure your intentions were positives ones, but this community has seen literally 100's of these kind of posts by authors who were less savvy and proper than yourself. Just bear this in mind for any future threads that you want to create for constructive criticism about the mod.

I like your post Rinner. BTW Scarlet, the reason why there was a string of hotfixes is because poor Rocket had to sleep. While he slept there popped up 100013913 posts and threads about the hotfix breaking their server. So Rocket wakes up to the hatred of many noobs, then has to work double time to make new hotfixes upon waking up. He works like a slave around the clock, perhaps you could be a bit more considerate for his sake. As far as I know he's the only coder on Day Z's team. He is doing his damn hardest to fix everything and provide new content for this alpha so we may all enjoy our time here(He shouldn't be doing this, but he's going the extra mile). There's no need to give him crap for it. When you make a mod in alpha and let the general public play it, then I think you'll understand, if you don't already.

Scarlet, I'm sure your intentions are good but as someone posted on the first page... When we have 10000 people posting very similar threads to this, we(Forum Community) tend to become engulfed in a rage with any future posts that contain the same content. I suggest that you do not make threads that have troll titles such as "U mad", don't make threads that report problems that have been reported several times and instead make threads with possible fixes. I know that's hard to do, but that's also why I don't make threads telling everyone about my unfortunate events. So I recommend joining in on threads with debatable fixes to problems and throwing your input there. Making new threads for things like this has already happen 10000 times over. Also, WHATEVER YOU DO... Don't be the guy to say "omg, u guiz use the 'this is alpha' excuse way 2 much." because you WILL get harassed and mistreated. It's an alpha..... That'll be said 1039193 more times in the future because IT IS AN ALPHA!! lol. Rocket is amazing for being able to trick the masses into thinking this ISN'T an alpha... Alpha is usually closed and has only 100 testers for this exact reason. General public can't handle playing a game to bug-report on.. Instead they care about themselves and their fun levels. Oh... Day Z, how I love you.

I think Hedonism was referring to how long it takes for the admin to update to the newest version. It can take a long while depending on the admin. Some admins believe an older version is better etc etc, so they'll leave their server in the older version for a week+ sometimes. Let's just hope that on whatever server you settle down on that you have an active admin who takes care of their server.

Hello. Last night (6/14/2012) there was a hacker who was on our teamspeak and linked up with us in game. We didn't know he was a hacker until he spawned ammo boxes infront of him. We then told him leave. Required: * Server this happened on: US 16 Hosted by Blackfuse * Time that it happened including your timezone: Around 12AM - 3 AM Central time (I think) * What happened during the incident: The player spawned ammo boxes. Once containing Antibiotics and the other one containing a m9-sd. We then confronted him, told him to leave. He does, but then a "new" hacker connects (We think it's him with a name change) and starts killing a bunch of people all over US 16 (mainly the people in our teamspeak). *Player/players names: Spartacus and Romulus Optional: - Video Proof Now my is not 100% incriminating because at the time, I didn't think to fraps the hacker. I was too busy running away. But you'll see the fire fight with the hacker at 6:15 in the video. Watch the whole thing to get the full scoop on the hacker though. You'll hear him try to deny it, then leave because he was caught etc.I know you don't want me saying "MY FRANDS AND I SAW IT OMGZZ" but, it's true. We(4 of us) all saw him spawn the box right in front of us. You can listen to the teamspeak conversation in the video and hear him leave the teamspeak, upset that we found out.

Ok then Zoggle, we'll see ya. Totes is unplayable etc etc so just quit for now and come back when it's not an alpha. In the mean time we'll continue bug reporting and stuff for patches that have been out for 7 hours. Saying that the word "alpha" is overused is the most unsound argument everrrrrrrr. It's in alpha stage.... it will have bugs... it will break the "GAME" (it's a mod btw) at times. We are slaves to the alpha testing, it is our duty to find out the problems and report them. If you don't like broken things or bugs, wait until it reads "PLAY DAY Z THE MOD" not "PLAY DAY Z THE MOD IN ALPHA STAGE". Good day.

Hello Day Z Community, My name is S6! Acebane and I have been making a hefty amount of videos lately on my youtube channel. One thing that has always bothered me though was the influx of "Let's play" videos that show running on the coast and collecting beans. Rocket explicitly said when releasing the female skin/gender choice that you were going to be limited to your one "clothing option" until he adds more. You chose female, now you must wait like a patient panda without making threads for it. In the future, I'm sure Rocket will add clothing options but that's A LOT of work. Until then, just enjoy the Day Z mod and it's updates. The things Rocket does for us picky Day Z players, sigh. Love you, Rocket.

YES The more hardcore, the better. It also puts more distance between someone who has survived for awhile and the random noob on the coast. More incentive to survive! ANTIGAME!!!!!!

NO. Day Z is for the hardcore. To add another system(bandit skin was first) in place to cater to more casual player and let him know who is "bad" is just another system that takes away from Day Z's hardcoreness. Remember, Rocket - ANTIGAME!

I think allowing some game mechanics to decipher for you if someone is bad is taking out the human element in figuring out if someone is dangerous. Would be willing to try though. (plz increase word cap to 40. This one sentence had 20+, sorry lol)

This server run AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGGGGINGLY!!!!!!!! I love it to death and that is where me and my S6 clan play atm. It's so good I even made a youtube video about it
