IMO, WAR. Feuds keep things interesting. Hell, I want to join the server you guys are fighting on JUST TO BE IN IT. Don't listen to those saying "OMG U TAK DIZ SO SRS LOL". This is what makes things interesting. I love the Eve negotiations kicking in here. Just remember, whichever side backs out of the war = WEAKBEANZ. Backing out of the War makes your clan/unit/group look weak. Fight fire with fire. They threaten you, you show them why they shouldn't have. GL to both sides.

I had 2 Picks ups, 3 UAZ's, 2 Buses, and 3 Civilian Cars. Also had a helicopter. We obtained all of it with a 3-4 man group. It's just a matter of finding the stuff and setting out on "Fixing operations".

Power to you, OP. I agree with Royalfork though, you should have some protection when doing such a thing. You could "Hire" bodyguards or whatever for your operation. I'm not entirely sure what you'd give the bodyguards as payment, but yeah!

I think the OP is worried that ARMA 2 and the franchise may lose it's "Hardcore simulation" touch when trying to make it more accessible to a broader audience via Day Z. I don't think that'll happen, personally, but anything is possible. I would think BIS would not change mechanics to seem more accessible. They strive for realism in their games, so I doubt that'll change any time soon. For the time being, I' say we just enjoy the fun and joys Day Z brings us. Everything will work out in the end.

Yeah......It's "corrupted data" I believe that forces your character to spawn on the beach with all your previous gear etc. It's just a problem of location - don't freight though, it could be way worse. You could lose EVERYTHING and start at the beach again, now that would be way frustrating. Optimism ftw! PS it has happened to me, but only once.

Ok I realize you are upset. But I've been playing for weeks without major incident. Just take a breather, go play tetris or something for a bit. The Day Z team is kicking ass and is doing this after their REAL jobs. So to give them grief that they aren't working fast enough is a bit harsh. Their mod team isn't a hugely funded one to my knowledge, so easy there. This is a free mod, chill. Maybe the Day Z Dev team will change it to a closed alpha that only mature players will have access to, per your request. Clearly having it an open alpha is just too much for a community to understand that they're testers and not players in this.

Disrespect not intentional but man up. You're one person out of the 50,000 players who plays this. You and anyone else that feel like they need to make a thread to "vent their rage" are ridiculous. We have like 10 posts of this today, should've just posted on one of their threads. I just think it's so "spam-like" to make these type of threads because there's at least 5 a day. If I were a moderator, I'd start deleting them awhile ago and make a "Post your frustrations here about anything" thread. But YES, I do love this mod and I do try to connect despite the servers not loading all day long. I wouldn't say I hate it, considering it's an alpha and this is the first time since I've started playing that the servers have been this skewed.

more zombies = good by me. It encourages grouping now and running solo requires some real thinking/planning. Now there's incentive to go with a group, where as usually you could solo it up everywhere. People complaining that solo isn't viable anymore - it is. Just play smart, stick to the ground and AVOID zombies. This means being patient sometimes and waiting out their "patrol route". Awesome unplanned change, Rocket. This is the only mod/game I actually look forward to patches/fixes with such anticipation. I LOVE THIS.

Awesome work. I don't see why they wouldn't want to include it into the mod. Original Poster, just try to join the Developer Team and you can re-do the skins for them.

haha some of these group pics are impressive. @Hei, are all those people part of a certain clan/unit? Or did you somehow coax the entire server to somehow join hands temporarily. My friend wants to do this by picking up random noobs on the beach but I guess I'm just pessimistic. I'm pretty sure we'd get shot trying to do that.

Probably should've made a well-titled and decent sized post about wanting more servers. lol first impressions are the lasting impressions, sir. Make a one sentence thread about trying to get into a server is a no-no.
