    Build 1.7.4.4 Rolling Update

Instead of removing items make them optional, I was looking at running rMod to get the street lighting up which is just another download for people which it shouldn't have to be. I have a 7kw solar system on my roof, so do a lot of people up my street and if anything happened I could easily find some lead acid batteries (there's a battery world down the road) and be powering my house 24/7 as well as a few neighbors. Yes I understand that the system would shutdown when it detects that the grid has dropped off but that can be modified, it's only a software setting. Power is essential to life, I think you'd find people working together to put something together. We did run 24/7 daylight, however I hated it and reverted back. I enjoy the night time but that and having to run whitelisting killed off our server, now we are lucky to have a handful of people playing, we used to have 50+
  2. Figured it was time to post up our dedicated DayZ server, since enabling whitelisting it's usage has decreased dramatically, however so has all the hacking and to date there's been no further issues reported. Prior to whitelisting this server was full with zero complaints on this forum. Why choose us over the thousands of other instances: We own and run our own hardware, which is co-located in San Diego. It's not leased equipment nor is it from a provider such as Vilayer. Hardware is enterprise grade, i.e. ECC memory, SAS disks in raid 10, dual 1Gbps Ethernet connections per hardware node. Network is a blend of Tier 1 providers, Level 3 has preference (Level 3, Hurricane Electric, Abovenet, XO, PCCW and Cogent) Enterprise level backup system in place. Separate test instance, all changes are tested for a week to two weeks prior to hitting the production instance. We have been around providing gaming servers on our own dedicated hardware since 1998 (name change in the past year) Active community - www.fpsgamerz.com TeamSpeak 3 Available - ts.fpsgamerz.com (default ports) We have tried to keep in with the theme of DayZ, there's not 1000 vehicles spawned on the server, there's 50-60 vehicles at any one time. There are bicycles placed around the coast line to help out people who have just spawned in and if heading inland there are care packages available that contain basic loot through to high end guns. Heli crash sites has been increased slightly so you can expect a maximum of eight crash sites per game. Most of the major bugs have been ironed out, and loading times are generally instant, visibility is set to 10000. We Need a Server Company that IS NOT Horrible

Had a vilayer instance in AU a while back, utter rubbish and reminded me of why I went down the path of dedicated servers a long time ago. They make money by slapping as many customers as they can on there and given the 1000s of empty servers in the list they sure are making a stack of moolah out of it. My question is, why even bother though?
