From the example it just seems unlikely anyone, even the zeds, could just forget they've been shot and bleeding all over the ground and get up or even attack. I think if a zed is injured so seriously that it can't stay awake anymore, its fighting days are over. It will bleed out on the floor if it wasn't already dead. I think a zed bleeding system would be good since they are people but don't have the sense to treat their wounds. I doubt anyone can run very far with blood pouring out of open wounds.

If it's from the 1.8 update we might get a quick patch to tone down the amount of guns. I probably won't notice though since I'm a northern forest lumberjack

Everything has its limitations. It was a good idea, but even if it was possible I think the zombies are too aggro to sit still. I mean they are angry and relentless monsters, if they stop moving it's because they're dead.

Good example, it would definitely ruin any kind of stealthy kill tactics because the moment you drop someone their entire group will know instantly. Without death messages and if everyone is just using ingame, it would be possible to pick people off and their friends might just think they aren't talking.

Agreed, death messages ruin the fun of not knowing if you got him or not.

Yes there are sniper rifles, and yes you can use them, but that doesn't mean the zombies will disappear so you can camp somewhere and snipe people. They are a threat you have to deal with just like everyone else. The zombies aren't deaf; if you want to put yourself at risk by making a lot of noise without moving, then that's your problem.

You could complain to his ISP as well if you really wanted to. They might not want to provide service to people who do dubious crap online getting tons of complaints about them.

No global inventories, you can only store things in tents or vehicles but other people can find them. Tents and vehicles do not travel between servers, but you can take things from tent on server A then bring them to server B as long as they are both public hive servers (some private hives do this too). The loot you have on you is saved for when you log back in. If you wanted you could set up a stash on a low population server and dump extra gear there in case you die, but there are no truly safe ways of hiding gear. Best thing to do is hold as much stuff as you can when you log out in case your stuff gets raided while you are gone.

too right, people will still KoS regardless of any penalties if they are doing it for fun since they just don't give a shit. It does however punish proper bandits (you know, the kind of player DayZ needs so it isn't a boring humans vs zombies situation) because they won't be able to be sly or have a chance to be given the benefit of the doubt when people just go you're covered in blood *blam*

DayZ needs a Gordon Freeman easter egg, I don't care how but it must be done :) Metro 2033 had a skeleton with a crowbar and glasses, something like that would be neat.

Most games just use the usual holding the button = cooking. It would be cool to get a grenade out and then right click takes out the pin but holds the spoon, when you let go of right mouse button you let the spoon go. At any time you can just throw it with left click. So if you wanted to blow yourself up you could tap right mouse and just let it go off, if you wanted to throw it unarmed just left click. A chance to fumble the grenade if you are trying to throw it while moving or if you get hurt would be a nice feature.

It's great though if you are busy on something like fixing a chopper, you've got nothing to worry about.

I like night because zombies won't aggro on you, lets you explore towns without any hassles whatsoever. If there's someone there you can just hide in a bush, it's so dark they won't see you. I adjust the gamma/contrast so I can see better but it only makes it barely playable. I have NVGs on Namalsk now so I'll use them instead. I mean I understand using flares/chemlights which work but if you have neither then you simply can't play if it's pitch black.

Ear rape at 1:12 since I turned it up to hear everything properly, but funny video. Once I found someone sitting up there when I was looking for tents, I wanted to sneak up and sit next to him but it was too risky.
