sounds good because it would maybe add a lil' bit of immersion reading about it, but lets say you're playing in Chernarus, I hope you can read Russian since that is the local lingo haha. Put it in english it would be cool to read and if it gave away hard to find loot locations it would be cool. kind of like STALKER mechanic. -

just a script kiddy messing with your head, when strange messages pop up it's a gamble to stay on. Sometimes I get messages ingame saying trojans are being put on my computer I just laugh them off (its bullshit) but probably good idea to leave incase the kid gets bored and kills everyone -

uhh so he logs in with satchel charges, blows some buildings up and gets banned because while he was setting the charges, he picked them back up and it showed up in logs. No actual proof other than logs showing he picked up satchels which was confirmed by someone else I read here can be recreated by placing then disarming satchels. How is that fair? also when he asked why he was banned nobody actually just replied with a straight answer "you were banned for *****" if you gave him a straight answer he wouldnt have to ask over and over. I dont think you can ban someone for having hacked gear on public hive and there is no solid, certain evidence he spawned those satchels in so what the hell?

Well in that case I think my main goal will be shooting people who shoot people who shoot unarmed people, maybe take a dump or two and die :D

not very special, you can easily kill anyone if they aren't expecting it and you have a shot lined up. Those 2 dudes shouldn't have been so trusting though but doesn't make them morons. I'd say a moron would have to trust you after you shoot them repeatedly and steal stuff from their bag.

Suggestion: blood regen and self blood transfusions

totally agree with blood regeneration, it's realistic and when you look at how other things are scaled compared to real life (hunger and thirst) you should be able to gain 1-2 blood ever second. It will make things a lot less frustrating for players, like at the moment I have very low (flashing) blood and I keep passing out, which is cool, but It's very hard trying to find food in that condition. I have a lot of raw meat but no matches, damn. I think if I could rest up and heal a bit it would be great. I remember thinking to myself "if i was this fked up in reality I would just find a soft spot and have a massive rest, get a bit better". I dont fully agree with the blood transfusion idea though, like everyone is saying it really makes you work with other people. only problem is a lot of other people can be 'difficult' to communicate with. so +1 on the regen idea, its realistic and there are no downsides as long as you can only regenerate when you arent hungry or thirsty. -

just to get this straight: banditry ≠ shooting everyone you see for a laugh and not for loot banditry = occasionally killing a person to survive, to take their food, water, ammo etc. asshats should be separate skins from bandits then. what if you kill someone and loot their body, it counts as bandit kill, but if you kill someone and dont ever loot that body it is an asshat kill? maybe the asshats get to wear a clown outfit with bright yellow and green. also can we all stop generalizing bandits as assholes? I mean way to go stereotyping a massive percentage of players as dickheads, without even knowing anything about them, just because you were killed a lot by asshats for fun, then come on forums supporting anti-banditry features to relieve the butthurt. Seriously almost no-one here supporting the skins and saying bandits = assholes, is not butthurt. edit: on the topic of being a crazy guy from killing people, some people are just cold. it doesn't get to them. Look at the protagonist of GTA IV, for a quick example, he killed a lot of people in a war, then killed a lot more people in LC. dont see him going insane, just an example of some people being cold, the ones that don't go all batshit crazy. -

if you don't get out of the way in time and get killed then bad luck, deal with it. Twice a day = 2 times every 24 hours. It would be rare for someone to even see one of these jets fly over let alone the jet flying to where a player is on the massive map and drop a bomb on him.

if you babies must have your skins then maybe make it so you change skins based on how many kills regardless of whether or not they are bandit kills or survivor kills. that way you definitely know that a guy with certain clothes is not to be f**ked with because he has dropped so many people. I think that's fair because now you wont see someone with the skin and shoot them on sight because you know they are bandit or go up to them and ask for help because you know they are hero. however I still hope they vanish in SA because it's making the game easier and is just as unrealistic as having "BAD GUY" or "GOOD GUY" appear when you aim at someone. I bet if that was put in there would be the same thread as this one arguing about it. -

dude its probably because the servers haven't been updated and your latest versions of dayz/arma 2 aren't compatible with the server, that's my best guess (update probably did something since you have downgraded, messing with server). It's happened to me too. I had good gear and that was a week ago now I went to play on a server started as a bambi on the coast, not sure if I lost the gear or if its just different gear for different servers -

doesn't really matter for me, I only join servers with good ping from 10-50. I either find a good looking server and get bad version crap, get frozen at a loading screen (or it takes 10 mins but not waiting that long, so never find out if it works or is 100% frozen). Though usually I can join servers ok but then my friends wanna play and bam bad version even though we all using dayz commander with same up-to-date versions. -

I don't get it, why do people only care about KoS if it's a survivor that gets killed? A bandit that kills a few people is worse than a survivor that kills 25 bandits? like, picture a couple people see someone axe murdering someone. They run up and point their guns at the guy and ask why he just brutally mutilated that guy with an axe. Guy says don't worry it was a bandit, i'm not some kind of murderer. they breathe a sigh of relief and wave bye bye, everyone lived happily ever after. What i'm trying to say is now you will have KoS with survivors killing bandits, because a survivor might see the telltale turban on a guy and bam that guy is gonna get shot at no questions asked. I mean it's an intentional kill/attack, on sight, am I right? If you don't want to be bad and want to not kill people, don't go near people. Or if you really want to walk up to an armed stranger and see if they will let you waste their time maybe get your gun out and be ready incase they shoot at you. I think the bandit skin would actually encourage bandits into KoS if they have the skin because they know if the survivor over there sees them they will automatically think "SHIT a bandit die you evil bastard!". If they know they won't get KoS by everyone else, including the 'trying to be friendly' survivors, it would give em a chance to play nice. The skin is also dumb because anyone with binoculars could spot a guy and then just by looking at him from a distance knows he has killed people and therefore deserves to be shot on sight... KoS preachers can be total hypocrites as I have shown, they get killed by bandit it's fkin KoS bandit prick but they KoS bandits all the time.(or at least people with the skin) also guise read the whole thread like I did, it's obv some people just tl;dr and quote from the first pages and look dumb. edit: spelling and also as a side note I am not a bandit probably killed 1 guy for his stuff. Maybe 1 or 2 more in self defence. If I see someone, I back down, watch them and let them go, bandit or not. -
maybe it would be cool to just have helis/jets fly over quickly but no interaction with the player, doing a recon sweep. I liked the idea of jets bombing cities but people might die and it would get frustrating. Though it does make sense, the cities would have the most zombies and whatever military is left would want to try and cut down on number of zombies. But that would probably only make sense early on, not when the country is already swarming with zombies.

yeah cherno/elektro are deathtraps most of the time, but if you've got the balls go for it. just dont be too surprised when you die

3rd person really does help with running around, I usually go into 3rd person while moving fairly long distances and then switch to 1st person when I'm going into buildings etc.

thermal scopes can be annoying but hey it's only for the L85, not too bad. It's WAY more annoying having someone with a hacked in anti material rifle with thermal shooting at you from like 1 km away

I thought it was an OK idea to an extent. But as it has been said the game is meant to piss you off when you die and it's meant to be hard to find each other. I know what you mean though, when I try to play with friends theres always a 40 min operation to find each other and then usually we get raped by hackers (TP bullcrap usually or random explosion). Also you might choose a certain place to spawn all the time since its near your tents etc. Then again I usually spawn in 1 of 2 places either around elektro or near kamenka.
