    1.5.7 update

Movies last 1.5 hours. You are supposed to live for long periods of time in the game. This requires doing the things people in the movies do in those periods of time between scenes. That's not particularly fun. When I play video games, i play them to do things. Not to avoid doing anything at all.

    1.5.7 update

It is boring. That's why movies never show people just spending 5 hours looking around Brooklyn for a piece of hopefully not rotted cheese.

    1.5.7 update

Some people think taking an hour to sneak through a town to find a can of baked beans is fun and realistic. I'm not one of them. The same people who think you're a noob for not exploiting the engine to kite and kill zombies are also the ones complaining that they don't feel like its a true 'survival' game without immense amounts of zombies respawning frequently. I'm not one of them. There's a balance between what a lot of people consider fun and what others find tedious. I'm already playing a game where it takes 20 minutes to run around from some of the farther towns. I'm already managing food, water, and ammo. I already feel danger by zombies and by people which is why I hardly go to towns. For the spergs out there to say that more psyhic, untiring zombies are needed? Well, you can have that game. I'm sure things are going to be tweaked for the better, but I don't find it particularly fun to sneak around in a game most of the time. In fact, its a waste of my time and I'll find something else to play.

    Fix Ladder Climbing

It's an Arma engine thing, sorry.

    1.5.7 update

Well zombies wall glitch hopefully will be fixed one day. You can hide from them, if you lay down and dont move, they will walk right past you. You can throw bottles n smoke grenades and they go to them. They are idiots. They chase you because you are dinner, my dog chases squirrels, he is not the smartest. What I meant was there is no way to hide from a zombie once it has been alerted to you. Yeah there is, kill him. Please read through the conversation and tell me how your comment applies.

    1.5.7 update

^^^^^^ This is what zombies are about, they dont shoot at you, they are not smart, but their are LOTS of them. That's the point. I disagree. Zombies in this mod are too smart. You can't hide from them. You can't outsmart them. They can climb ladders. They can hit you through walls. They will chase you forever and ever. If one zombie is alerted, many are, and each of them know where you are. Well zombies wall glitch hopefully will be fixed one day. 7. Zombies teleporting into buildings is 'a part of the engine' because if an actor fails to get to its indoor 'waypoint' time after time, the engine will essentially teleport it in there.

The number of zombies wouldn't be so bad if they were lumbering. But since they're sprinting, zig-zagging zombies, it really sucks and isn't that fun.

    Zombie speed

I think at a basic level the zig zagging is coded into the AI as far as Arma 2 is concerned. I think, but am not certain, that even if you set a unit's AI skill to 0 they still do that. I wish it could be changed, or a 'new' AI just for zombies.

    World/Map/Difficulty Suggestions

Zombies outside of urban areas I like it the way it is. People didn't live in forests, they lived near buildings. Buildings are where people have to get things. Military camps/bases I don't know about this. The concept is interesting but I think the execution would be tough. You'd have to spawn probably like a hundred different things (including zombies) for that camp, and the camp can only really be in so many places. Spawning those items out of nowhere could make the server lag. Chernarus Yes, this game absolutely needs goals. The goals should be able to be done by one or many people. The goals should be 'rewarding' in some aspect, and having power in towns is a pretty cool goal, while not making anyone overpowered. Map Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but whether or not markers show up on your map depends on what radio channel you're in when you make it. It's been a while since I worked with ARMA 2 stuff, but that's how I remember it. So, if you want to make it personal, do local only, or ask the devs to allow us to have squads :) Difficulty I think there should be different servers for people who want a different difficulty experience. There are currently servers where there is no third person, and no name scanning. Some have 3rd person but no names.

    Internacional Viper Squad

Why are you mad at all of us, man we're just trying to get by in life. I want to get back to my homeland, Sahrani and chill on the beach with cocktails.
  13. NY servers, no one is able to connect or play. EU servers unable for new people to join. At least 30 people Most servers are emptying out.

    Unable to connect to servers

NY servers are usually completely full. People are popping in and out. edit: the only server i'm able to connect to is US1

    User squads and side tasks.

It is really hard coming up with suggestions for this game. Not because I don't have any. When I think of them, it could make the game lame. So, with that in mind, here are some of those suggestions anyway- with a lot of dumb questions! 1. Can you enable the ability to join squads? There are scripts out there that I've used for missions that would allow people to form their own squads. Can we be allowed to do this? I understand this is a survival horror thing. Perhaps you don't want too many people teaming up all the time, but some people are going to do this outside of the game anyway. I think it would help grouped survivors (and encourage cooperation) if groups could be made. 2. Can we have side tasks/missions? It would be nice to have some clear cut goals every now and then. Something specific and out of the ordinary. Maybe give some sort of award for it. I know it would be probably be difficult to implement, and you'd have to find a way so it isn't abusable.

Some zombies in the woods/up north.

I never want random zombies in woods. Keep them in and near cities. It's a challenge enough to have to brave other players and zombies in cities to resupply. To have to worry about zombies you'll never be able to see in a pitch black forest is the polar opposite of fun in every universe imaginable.
